We opened this morning's meeting looking at Psalm 28:1-2…

Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu did an in-depth interview with Time magazine. They are planning to show him on the cover with the words, 'The King of Israel', referring to his forming a very large governing coalition recently. There is a danger of this going to the prime minister's head and puffing him up with pride. God would then need to resist him (James 4:6). Yet there are reports that Bibi is very upset by what Time is trying to do - which is to put him in a bad light. So we lifted him up in prayer…

Attacks by Palestinian terrorists have been on the rise. The IDF is very upset that Israel's mainstream media has not been reporting it. Usually, it is only if a Jew is murdered or if a Jew attacks an Arab that the media both here and elsewhere feels it is newsworthy. We prayed for Israel's internal security situation…

Iran: Western powers think that as long as they can get Iran to talk, that is progress. Actually, the one thing that makes progress during these talks is Iran's nuclear program - the very thing the world wants to see stopped. There are more talks going on now and in the next few weeks. Israel needs to know what to do once these talks end…

The current Syrian situation is difficult to pray into because it appears that whatever the outcome, it will not be good for Israel. President al-Assad has proven himself a mass killer, yet if he is overthrown the radical Muslim Brotherhood will most likely take over, as they are doing in Egypt. On top of this, al-Assad is better for the Syrian Christian minority…

We ended by praying for the Body of Messiah - in Israel and internationally. A recent BBC global poll found that a majority polled saw Israel as the 3rd most dangerous nation on the planet - right after Iran and North Korea! Only in nations where there is a strong evangelical base, was Israel viewed favorably - with the top three being Nigeria, Kenya and America in that order. Messiah's Body must wake up to how far into the last days we have already traveled…

We starting by looking at the last words of Moses…

Israel was amazed last week when, expecting the parliament to be dissolved and early elections to be called, they woke up Tuesday and found that Bibi Netanyahu had formed one of the largest coalition governments in Israel's modern history. Kadima, headed by Shaul Mofaz, joined Bibi's Likud-led government, which now will apparently run its full course, until October 2013. We were not convinced that early elections was God's will, and asked for Him to overrule - which He did. We now have a responsibility to intercede for Israel's current government to be all that God has raised them up to be…

We bless God that Bibi Netanyahu is still Israel's Prime Minister. He absolutely needs to be covered by our prayers - maybe even more now than before. The snares of both man and the devil are waiting for him…

In a couple of weeks, the UN Security Council's five permanent members and Germany, [aka, P5+1], will be meeting in Baghdad with Iran. This will be the 2nd recent meeting - hoping to turn Iran away from it's nuclear program and turn the world away from war. Meanwhile, Iran is happily advancing their nuclear program in the face of several UN resolutions and sanctions. Iran's having a nuclear weapon is a threat to both the West and Israel…

We next prayed for Israel's response to the results of the P5+1 meeting…

This week's Torah and prophetic portion revolves around the land of Israel being sacred because it belong to God. We used that to pray that no more parts of the land would be given away, and that settlements that are supposed to be evacuated, would remain…

We interceded for the IDF soldiers, many of whom are in their teens and early 20's. We also prayed for the Messianic Jews in the IDF - that they would be salt and light to all of their fellow soldiers. We ask for safety and alertness and blessed them for their willingness to lay down their lives for this nation and its people.

We finished by praying for the Church to receive the burden of Paul, that of seeing all Israel saved…

Many nations shall come and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:2

The Lord is building Jerusalem. The Lord is building Jerusalem; gathering together the outcasts of Israel; healing broken hearts, binding up their wounds; the Lord is building, the Lord is building up Jerusalem…

Possibility of new elections in Israel

In recent days it has become probable that the Knesset will shortly be dissolved and new elections called for the autumn. According to opinion polls elections would make the Likud Party (Netanyahu's party) stronger, Kadima (the main opposition party) weaker, Independence (Defense Minister Ehud Barak's party) nowhere at all. Elections would cost the nation 400 million shekels and 70% of Israelis believe there is no need for them now…

Bibi Netanyahu

The Prime Minister and his family are "sitting shiva", observing the seven day mourning period following the death of Benzion Netanyahu, Bibi's father. In Jewish tradition a person is not supposed to take any major decisions during the year following the death of one's father or close relative. Clearly Bibi doesn't have the privilege of observing this tradition…

Iran

The very real threat remains that Iran will get a nuclear weapon and we continue to pray on two fronts: that God will act sovereignly in shaking the nation of Iran and that he will use Israel militarily against Iran…

Later this month there will be another meeting of the P5+1 nations (China, France, Russia, UK, USA + Germany) with Iran. Netanyahu's reaction to the last meeting was that they "Gave Iran a freebie" in granting a period of time before implementing harsher sanctions against Iran. Thus enabling Iran to press forward with their nuclear program…

There are reports that 1000 Iranians are coming to faith in Yeshua every month. Some are looking at prophecies of judgment in Jeremiah as applying to their nation in these days…

The Church

The Church throughout the world and particularly in the Western nations is largely distracted and even asleep to all that is going on in these days…

Israel's Armed Forces

Israel has just approved the call-up of 22 battalions of reservists to strengthen her defenses. Orders have already been given for 6 battalions to be deployed on the Egyptian and Syrian borders. Just as the priests are called to stand in intercession between the people and God, so the soldiers are called to stand in the gap between the people and their enemies…

Aliyah

Thank God that there has been an increase in aliyah. However, New York is still the largest Jewish city in the world. Also it is reported that there's a waiting list of 20,000 families wanting to make aliyah but lacking the funding to do so…

"Christ at the Checkpoint"

There are plans to hold further Christ at the Checkpoint conferences in cities throughout the world, particularly focusing on the USA. The two conferences by this name which have been held in Bethlehem have been platforms for evangelical believers to promote a strong anti-Zionist and anti-Israel agenda, contrary to the word of God. Now they are seeking to spread the message globally. Boston, USA is suggested as a first international location…

We hold our Friday meetings on the 14th floor of one of the tallest buildings in Jerusalem. Today, as we looked out over the city, we praised the Lord for fulfilling His prophetic word right before our eyes…

Yesterday, the IDF Chief of Staff, Benny Gantz, contradicted what both Prime Minster Bibi Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have been saying about Iran. Gantz said that sanctions are working and that they have bought the world more time to deal with Iran's nuclear weapons program. That the head of Israel's military contradicted its' political leadership in public is very troubling. Of course, this could all be a ploy at misdirection - but at this time, it does not look good…

Iran's leadership continues to press forward toward their demonic goal to destroy Israel and America and rule over the Middle East. Although international sanctions have cut into Iran's economy, they have not stopped its striving for nuclear weapons. As usual, we first asked God to deal with this situation sovereignly…

God has used Israel in the past - including in modern history - to deal with nations under Islamic rule to defeat and shame them. Because of this, multitudes of Moslems have seen the light (some in literal visions and dreams), and have come to a saving knowledge of the Lord, Messiah Yeshua. And God may choose to use Israel again in dealing with the Iranian threat…

Yesterday, on Israel's 64th birthday, many Israelis traveled throughout their land. We prayed for this special land that God has promised to give to Israel (over 200 times in His word - including 40 times swearing to do it), that it would not be divided any more. Also, that the settlers, who are on the land, in obedience to His Word, would meet their Messiah…

One of the best ways to guard this land is through massive aliyah- a huge move of Jews from exile to Israel…

We finished our time by specifically interceding for PM Bibi Netanyahu…

The prophetic portion read in synagogues this Shabbat includes God's covenant with King David - 2 Samuel 7:17. Part of the covenant includes God's commitment to give His people the land of Israel…

Yesterday in Israel was Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day. Both Prime Minister 'Bibi' Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres gave excellent speeches on the night before at Yad v'Shem - Israel's institute dedicated to all things related to the Holocaust. Bibi again mentioned the similarities between the 1930s and the world's lack of dealing with Hitler, and today's world's non-dealing with Iran. Of course, he is criticized for constantly bringing up this comparison, but we believe he is speaking a God-given warning to the world. We therefore prayed for Bibi…

We again stood in the gap for the very real threat coming against Israel - and the rest of the world - from Iran. As usual, we first asked God to deal with it Himself…

There is a strong possibility that God will deal with Iran through Israel's military, as God's prophetic word indicates Israel will be tasked to be His weapon of war (Jer. 51:20)…

The IDF has experienced a series of mishaps this past week, resulting in the death of several Israeli soldiers. This next week, Israel observes Remembrance Day in honor of the 22,000 plus soldiers who have given their lives to defend this nation. Obviously, many need the comfort that only Israel's God through Messiah Yeshua can give. The IDF, and their families, needs our constant prayer support…

Soldier's Memorial day starts this coming Tuesday evening, followed on Wednesday evening by Israel celebrating it's 64th birthday…

Many Jews throughout the world also celebrate Israel's Independence day. This is a wonderful time to pray for them to consider coming home (making aliyah) to Israel…

The feast of Passover starts tonight. In Israel and in most other places where Jews are, families and friends will be sitting down to the traditional festive meal - the Passover Seder. Today is also 'Good Friday', the day when believers in Messiah Yeshua remember the crucifixion. We used the timing of these events to guide our prayers. First though, we praised our most wonderful God Almighty…

Israel is on one of its highest alerts ever. Most IDF soldiers are not being released to be with family during this Passover, which is very unusual. There is also an intensification of IDF preparation in the north against any possible attacks. Or is Israel planning to attack Iran and this is preparation for any counterattack? Thankfully, our God knows exactly what is going on and what will occur in the future…

We prayed for Prime Minister 'Bibi' Netanyahu. As seen in God's Word, leaders are a very important factor in determining whether a nation walks in God's will or not, and thus whether a nation is blessed or judged…

We then asked God to deal with Iran sovereignly…

Passover speaks into aliyah and salvation. Israel was protected from God's righteous judgments by the blood of the Passover lamb and then was thrust out of Egypt to head back to the land God promised to Abraham. Today, multitudes of Jews need to be protected from God's judgment. That happens by hiding under the blood of Yeshua, the Lamb of God. We prayed for God to reveal to many of His people His Lamb - the Lord Yeshua…

We prayed for specific groups. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct you in praying this way as well. Here are some of those we lifted up before the throne…

We then prayed for aliyah - the immigration of Jews from exile to Israel. At the end of the Passover seder Jews proclaim, "Next year in Jerusalem!"…

Since this is 'Good Friday', we sensed that this would be a good time to ask God to reveal to His Body the true nature of their Savior, Messiah Yeshua…

Today is something called "Land Day" in the Arab world. It started many years ago when Israeli Arabs protested the annexation of land by the Israeli government. It has turned into a day to support, sometimes violently, the Palestinian "right" to all of Israel. There is supposed to be a "March on Jerusalem" beginning today. Internationals who support the Palestinians have gathered in countries around Israel to march on the borders of Israel along with portions of the Arab populations. Palestinians within Judea and Samaria will take part in this "March to Jerusalem". Things on our borders and within our nation could get violent very quick. We feel like this is a major focus for us this morning, so we divided the prayer into three parts. The first part is for the IDF and security forces to be prepared for whatever happens…

Land Day part 2

And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah. Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you. So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled. And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil. And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.

2 Chronicles 14:9-12

We continued our prayer into this situation by asking the Lord to put his fear into these people who want to march on Jerusalem. We also prayed that the Lord would send his judgment as well, because when judgment and fear of the Lord comes, there can be a turning to the Lord…

Land Day part 3

We turned our prayers to the places that could potentially be the most volatile today. Syria may be looking for any excuse to distract people from the strife that is going on there. This day could be used to shift attention away from themselves and cause something on Israel's northern border. Jerusalem is the "endpoint" of this march and it could very well be a flash point. We prayed for security forces and for general protection for these two areas…

We continued our prayer watch concerning the situation in Iran. Over the past week, there have been many reports "leaked" by the United States talking about how impossible it would be for Israel to act alone against Iran. It seems like America is doing all it can to stop any attempt of Israel to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. These reports have the ability of causing division in the leadership of Israel and putting fear into the people of Israel concerning action against Iran. America is not alone in this pressure. The rest of the West seems to be doing all it can to tie Israel's hands…

Passover is next week and it is a wonderful thing to know that Yeshua is our Passover Lamb. We pray constantly that our Jewish brothers and sisters would know that same reality. As people prepare their homes for the Passover, may they also be preparing their hearts to receive from the Lord. May the Jewish people see, this Passover, that they have salvation waiting for them in Yeshua…

Every Passover Seder meal ends with the declaration "Next Year in Jerusalem"! We pray that the Lord would make this a declaration a reality for many this year. We prayed that Aliyah would increase dramatically this year…

We ended our time of prayer by lifting up the congregations around the country. We prayed that the Lord would visit His Body this weekend in power as we are meeting together. May we receive new revelation of who the Lord is!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 121…

Israel's position vis-à-vis Iran

As Iran is rushing towards the production of a nuclear weapon, Israel hesitates because of an ungodly connection with the USA. Pray that…

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu…

Iran

A power struggle is going on in Iran between President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollah Khamenei. Khamenei and the other ruling ayatollah's have curtailed some of the President's power which could make him resentful and keen to cause trouble. His belief in the imminent return of the 12th imam and his desire to expedite this event make him all the more dangerous. As we prayed intensively at the prayer conference in January, we continued to pray for Iran to make mistakes…

Syria

A ceasefire declared by the United Nations Security Council is having no effect on the ground in Syria. Meanwhile, the more desperate President Assad gets, the more likely it becomes that he will turn on Israel to take the focus off himself. It also appears that Russia may be becoming more active in its support for Assad, which may embolden him to attack Israel. Syria is believed to have one of the world's largest stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons…

Aliyah

This week's murder of a Jewish man and three children in Toulouse, France is yet another signal that it is time for the 750000 Jews in France to come home to Israel. Anti- Semitism is rising in France as it is everywhere. This should motivate Jews to come home from all the nations to which they have been scattered…

Removal of leaven from the Body of Messiah

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8

As Passover approaches we are all exhorted to clear out the leaven from our lives. The Body of Messiah needs to be serious about the leaven and to get rid of wrong teaching, wrong thinking, wrong understanding…

Christ at the Checkpoint conference

There have been many reverberations within the Messianic Body following this conference. Some appear to have been won over by the appearance of love and acceptance that they have been deaf to the deceptions of distortions of God's word. We need to pray against this powerful humanistic stream in the Body…

This weekend…

We prayed concerning the situation around Gaza. Over the last week, more than 300 rockets have been fired into Israel from Gaza. Israel has responded, but the rockets have not stopped. Three days ago, the Egyptians claimed that they had brokered a ceasefire, but rockets have continued to fall despite the "ceasefire". The Israeli people who live around Gaza are under constant threat. The situation could very quickly turn into a full conflict if things progress they way they are now. We prayed…

We continued our prayer watch concerning the threat posed by Iran. There has been so much rhetoric over the few weeks that there is no way of knowing what plans are being made and when this "window" of opportunity for diplomacy might close. We continue to ask the Lord to intervene and that Israel would be ready to act if the Lord decrees it. We prayed…

In the wake of the recent "Christ at the Checkpoint" conference, we felt it was crucial to pray for the Body of Messiah. There is much confusion and disagreement concerning how to respond as a Body to this conference. As a Body, we need discernment and clarity on how to respond to the effects this conference could have on the Body. We prayed…

We thanked the Lord for the rain today and the abundance that has been poured out this winter. The Sea of Galilee is a full 1.25 meters above the red line! This is the first time in many years it has been so high. Even though we praise the Lord for the rain we had, we continue to ask that the Lord would supply the additional 3 meters the Sea of Galilee needs to be full. We prayed…

We ended by praying for our leaders Chuck and Eliyahu. Eliyahu is back in the Land after a conference in the States, so we prayed for him be able to recuperate. Chuck will be in the States until April, so we asked the Lord to guard and watch over our dear brother as he shares the truth of God's Word.

We began our meeting today praising the Lord from Psalm 8…

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

We continued to pray for Benjamin Netanyahu and for his advisors and inner cabinet in the light of these verses. Netanyahu has been in the USA with President Obama and under great pressure from the outside world to act in one way or another in response to the threat from Iran. We prayed for them…

On Thursday an IDF soldier was stabbed on duty in the region of Judea and in self defense wounded his attacker and killed another Arab…

Out of this week's talks between Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama in the USA came declared resolution from Netanyahu that he needs to prepare his own people for every possible eventuality while Obama appealed to Israel not to talk about war against Iran. We prayed…

Ayatollah Khamenei praised President Obama this week for his statement that he is not thinking about war with Iran. This praise from the supreme leader of Iran must be a sign to Israel if not to the United States that we can't let up with our prayers and our preparations for the war which may come. We continued to pray for God to act sovereignly to hold back this threat…

In 2 Kings 20:13 and onwards we learn how King Hezekiah revealed the treasures of Judah to the envoys of another nation…

We prayed that Israel might not be caught off guard by a threat from a different front eg from Syria, Egypt, Palestinians, etc. The threat from Syria becomes ever more imminent. They have one of the world's largest stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons and President Assad has said that if he is about to be overthrown he would attack Israel…

During the past week the "Christ at the Checkpoint" conference has been taking place in Bethlehem giving a platform for the concerns of the evangelical Christian community in the Palestinian Authority. Much of what is proclaimed is replacement theology and a denial of the place in God's purposes for the State of Israel. A few Israeli and Messianic Jewish leaders have been given opportunities to speak. We prayed…

Eliyahu and Chuck are in the USA leading a prayer conference this weekend. We prayed for them…
