Considering that the current crisis and the headlines in and about Israel change very rapidly, how can we consistently intercede and know we are hitting God's target?

What does it mean to "pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is written in heaven?" There are many Christians who pray for Israel who are only concerned with praying for the salvation of the Jewish People (Israel). When others pray for different things concerning Israel, those prayers are often criticized as being soulish or carnal. However in my mind, praying only for the salvation of Israel in broad terms does not take into consideration the steps the Lord will use to get there.
