I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isaiah 62:6-7

International Prayer Conference, Jerusalem

January 21st - 28th, 2019

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.Isaiah 62:6-7
But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the City of the Great King.Matthew 5:34-35

The United States, Guatemala and Paraguay have moved their embassies to Jerusalem and yet Jerusalem is still not a praise in all the earth. On the contrary Jerusalem continues to be a stone of contention for most of the world, like a bone stuck in your throat that you cannot get out.

Whatever the world may think or want, we have been given a holy calling – to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem. God’s people have been praying for at least 2,700 years (since Isaiah penned those words) for Jerusalem to become a praise in all the earth. When will that happen? When Yeshua’s feet stand once again on the Mount of Olives.

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west.Zechariah 14:4

When will that day come? We don’t know, but we do know that we are closer to that day today than we were yesterday. What a privilege we have to be able to pray God’s Word back to Him in His city – the City of the Great King.

As I write this invitation at the end of July 2018 Israel continues to face real threats both in the North on the Syrian and Lebanese borders and in the Southwest on the Gaza border. These are not existential threats, however they portend much fighting to come. Israel will defeat its enemies but war always exacts a price on all sides of the fighting.

The USA will reinstitute heavy sanctions on Iran starting on August 6th and then more starting in November. We don’t know how Iran will respond but we do know that Iran’s nuclear warfare project needs to be stopped. If Iran’s response leads to war with the USA I am sure that Israel will be involved, perhaps directly and certainly on our borders.

We are also facing the very real possibility of early elections here in Israel.

Whatever the pressing burdens will be in January, we will continue to join with the prayers of the saints that have gone before us and those who are with us now to Give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

If the Lord is calling you to join us in Jerusalem for the 35th annual International Prayer Conference in Jerusalem, please make sure you come armed for the spiritual battle. (Ephesians 6:11-17) Take care that you are in right relationship with God and with other people. Ask your home fellowship to send you out and to pray for you while you are away. We welcome you with open arms and hearts.

Younger Intercessors:

We have a burden to raise up the next generation of intercessors who understand God’s prophetic purposes and plans for Israel. If you share this burden please consider bringing a younger intercessor with you to the conference or sponsoring someone. We are offering a discount on the conference package for those who have not passed their 30th birthday by the end of January 2019. Please contact us for details.

Post-Conference Prayer Tour

January 28th - February 2nd, 2019

The situation in Syria has become ever more complicate. Our burden is to return to the Golan Heights for our tour again this year to continue our prayers for Israel’s protection.

We need to remember that this is not a "pilgrimage tour," it is not a "getting to know the Land and going to new places tour," (as much as I love to do that kind of touring) it is a prayer tour.

We can be grateful and pleased that the places where we went to pray this year have remained basically peaceful, even considering the months of Friday riots on the Gaza border.

While there are many other things that need prayer in Israel, the Lord's mandate for IFI is very much the physical security of the Land. As we have said many times before, “For all of Israel to be saved, we need to be alive and living in our Land.
