1. Praise: We looked at several verses in Psalm 9 to begin our time together.

    • I will praise You, O YHWH, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. When my enemies have turned back, they shall fall and perish before You. For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat in the throne judging right.Psa. 9:1-4
    • YHWH is known by the judgment He executes.Psa. 9:16a
    • Thank You Abba, that we can know You because You have executed judgment on our sins by the death of Your Son, Messiah Yeshua (Isa. 53:4-5; 59:1-2).

    • You are a holy and righteous Judge and we bless You for all Your judgments (Gen. 18:25b).

    • We praise You for revealing to us all we need to know You (Mark 4:11; John 17:3).

    • YHWH shall endure forever; He has established His throne for judgment/justice.Psa. 9:7
    • Hallelujah! You God are the One who was, and is, and is to come, the Almighty (Rev. 1:8; 4:8).

    • Thank You for being a refuge for us in the times of trouble (Psa. 9:9).

    • Yeshua, Lord, blessed are You who comes in the name of the Lord (Psa. 118:26; Matt. 23:39).

  2. Water: The heavens have opened and rain is pouring down, filling up the Sea of Galilee, but also unfortunately overflowing many neighborhoods and flooding roads. There have already been some deaths from this deluge, so while we rejoice at the abundance of rain, we are sad for those who have lost loved ones.

    • Lord, with the weather still wet and cold, we ask You to provide for those who have lost loved ones or their homes to have an extra portion of Your comfort and peace (Psa. 23:4; Isa. 26:3).

    • Move upon all local municipalities to do all that they can to provide for their people.

    • Even with Israel's transitional national government, please provide for all financial needs.

    • Abba, protect Israelis from further damages. For this let all the godly pray to You, in a time when You may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near him. (Psa. 32:6)

    • Lord Yeshua, guard over Your people from sicknesses during this winter (Matt. 4:23).

    • God, miraculously provide safety on the roads in all areas of this nation (Psa. 4:8).

  3. Politics: Israel is being run by a transitional government that is led by PM Bibi Netanyahu. With elections not until March 2nd, this situation will continue for at least another three months – as it takes time to form a government after the elections. This current government needs our prayers.

    • We again thank You for allowing Netanyahu to remain as Israel's leader at this time (Psa. 80:17).

    • As the Supreme Court limits Bibi in what he can do, give him wisdom to delegate (Ex. 18:13-26).

    • Help the government to focus on today's problems and not be so focused on the elections that they miss what is essential for this nation (Matt. 6:34).

    • Stop the mouths of the opposition from diverting the government from today's issues (Dan. 6:22).

    • Thank You for placing Naftali Bennett as Israel's Defense Minister for this season (Dan. 2:21).

    • Surround him with wise counsel (Prov. 24:4).

    • Use the huge financial profits from the Leviathan natural gas project to fulfill Your declared will (Deut. 28:11-12).

    • Lord, deal with that part of the Israeli media that is always anti-Zionist and anti-Bibi (Ex. 23:1).

  4. Security: As already mentioned, Israel will be run by the current transitional government for at least the next three months. They have to be free from all restrictions when it comes to defending this nation against its enemies – especially Iran and its proxies.

    • Thank You for Netanyahu, Bennett and the IDF Chief of Staff Kochavi. Make them a strong three-fold cord to know what needs to be done for the security of this nation (Eccl. 4:12).

    • Move upon their thinking to line up with Your plans (Prov. 19:21).

    • We ask You to bring all important intelligence to their attention (2 Chr. 6:40).

    • Download Your insight to them about Iran and its proxies' plans to destroy Israel (Job 5:12-13).

    • Thank You for Israel's commitment to attack all Iranian efforts to transfer game changing weaponry to Hizbullah in Lebanon and Syria (Jer. 51:19-24).

    • Continue to cover and protect all of Israel's spies and other human sources of intelligence.

    • Guard over all Israel's artificial intelligence devices which expose the enemies plans (Psa. 33:13).

    • At the same time, please cover and protect all of Israel's plans (Psa. 17:8).

    • If there are any plans on the IDF's table which are not from You – remove them (Prov. 16:9).

    • Give Kochavi wisdom to use efficiently the limited finances the IDF has today (Judg. 7:1-8).

  5. Security: We then prayed for the IDF itself.

    • So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army. (Ezek. 37:10) Thank You for the IDF – a fulfillment of this prophetic word – an army resurrected out of the graves of the Holocaust.

    • Give the IDF wisdom to use what they now have more efficiently (Prov. 21:31).

    • Guide them to place soldiers and equipment exactly where they need to be at this time (Prov. 16:1).

    • Protect all soldiers who are guarding this nation during this wet and cold winter (Psa. 140:7).

    • Remove all distractions – whether mobile phones, the opposite sex or even cold feet (Jam. 1:8)!

    • Make the lines of communication between the soldiers and the commanders very clear (Prov. 1:3-4).

    • Thank You for preventing any successful kidnapping attempts (Psa. 121:4).

    • Use the snow and hail to protect Israel (Job 38:22-23).

  6. Elections: We need a government that is both stable and in line with God's will for Israel.

    • Concerning the next government we cry out to You: Not to us, O YHWH, not to us, but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and for Your truth's sake. Why should the gentiles say, Where now is their God? But our God is in Heaven; He has done whatever He has pleased. (Psa. 115:1-3)

    • Provide Israel a stable government that is more in line with Your will (1 Tim. 2:1-4).

    • Raise up a government that sees security as its number one responsibility (Rom. 13:1-4).

    • Forbid an Israeli government that is willing to further divide Your land (Joel 3:1-2).

    • Give us leaders who are not timid to say "No!" – even to America if need be (Judg. 11:24).

    • Help the next government to develop Israel's medical system to be all that Israelis need.

    • Give to Israel wise and committed Education and Transportation ministers (2 Chr. 35:3b).

    • I will turn back My hand on you, and purge away your dross…and take away all your alloy. And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. (Isa. 1:25-26) Amen! Lord, purge and restore!

  7. Aliyah – the immigration of the Jews from exile to Israel: The stones of stumbling in the path of God's people from coming home are many – some are real obstacles, others are just wrong thinking or even demonic lies. These are the things we stood in pray against to open the way in the spirit realm for the Jews to return this year.

    • Pass! Pass through the gates; prepare the way of the people. Raise up! Raise up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a banner for the peoples. Behold, YHWH has sent a message to the end of the earth, Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.Isa. 62:10-11
    • Yes, God, remove from the next government any and all obstacles from Your people coming home.

    • Thank You for the increase in aliyah in 2019. More, Lord (Jer. 31:8-9)!

    • Give the next coalition insight to prepare this nation for the huge influx of Your people (Isa. 43:5-7).

    • As the return of the Jewish people is declared to be for Your holy name's sake – we plead with You to increase the return in any way that You deem needed (Ezek. 36:21-24, 32; Jer. 16:16).

    • Lord, arise! Break the power of the ultra-Orthodox who continue to limit the definition of who is a Jew and who has the right to Israeli citizenship (Psa. 10:12).

    • Hear the Word of YHWH, O gentiles, and declare it in the nations far off, saying, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd keeps his flock'.Jer. 31:10
    • Lord, You have scattered Your nation; now You are gathering them. Continue to do this Your will until no Jewish person remains outside the borders of Your land (Ezek. 39:27-29).

    • May the next Interior Minister be a Zionist through and through (Psa. 48:2, 12).

    • Abba, deal with all bureaucrats who have sat behind their desks for years and hinder Your people from entering into their inheritance (Isa. 42:16).

    • Provide all finances needed for all aspects of the return and resettling of Your people (Ezra 1:1-4).

  8. The Church: God expects His redeemed from among the nations to stand in the gap and help His people to return and be resettled. They are to do this firstly through prayer and then in whatever other way God leads them.

    • Lord Yeshua, we do thank You for all those in Your Body who are standing in the gap for Your Jewish people in this way. Use their actions as a witness to other believers (Jam. 2:14-26).

    • Wake up Your Body to understand that this restoration of Israel is something You are doing with all of Your heart and soul (Jer. 32:41-42).

    • Lord, shake up that part of the Western Church which is deaf, dumb and blind to their obligations to the Jews (John 4:22; Rom. 11:11; 15:27; Gal. 3:8)!

    • For those in Your Body who hate the Jews, or have a spirit of anti-Semitism, deal with them before it is too late, for soon they will stand before You Lord – the King of the Jews (Matt. 2:2; Rev. 5:5)!

    • Yeshua Lord, may Your Body follow the heart action of its head (Psa. 147:2; Zech. 8:1-8).

    • God of all, restore to the Church the complete Word of God (Jer. 15:16).

    • [Yeshua] said to them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all things that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and then to enter into His glory? And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures [only the Old Testament at this time!] the things concerning Himself.Luke 24:25-27; see also 24:44-46
    • Correct all Christian Zionists who tend to reject local Israeli believers so that the unsaved Jews will accept them (Gal. 6:10).

  9. Salvation: As declared in many verses, the return of the Jews to their land leads to Abba's revelation of Messiah Yeshua to the house of Israel – and all this is for the sanctification of the name of our Great God.

    • I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the gentiles, which you [Israel] profaned when living among them; and the gentiles shall know I am YHWH…when I shall be sanctified in you [Israel] before their eyes. For I will take you from among the gentiles, gather you out of all nations, and bring you into your own land, and I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean. And I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and your idols, and will give you a new heart and place in you a new spirit…And I will put My spirit within you, and lead you to walk in [My Word, and do it].Ezek. 36:23-27
    • You said all Israel will be saved. Lord, is it not time to bring this to pass (Rom. 11:26-27)?

    • For thus says YHWH, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise and say, 'O YHWH, save Your people, the remnant of Israel'. (Jer. 31:7) Amen!

    • Lord, open the eyes of many ultra-Orthodox who are truly seeking You (Isa. 42:7).

    • Touch those who continually pray at the Western Wall (Jer. 29:13).

    • Also reveal Yourself to many who go to synagogues each Shabbat (Mark 6:2).

    • Save many Palestinians and use these ex-Muslims to provoke many Jews to jealous (rom. 11:11).

    • We exalt Your amazing grace. As we grow in our relationship with You we see that there is no good thing in us (Rom. 7:18) – but in Yeshua we have life and love and joy. Bless You forevermore!

    • But of Him you are in Messiah Yeshua, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption; so that, according as it is written, 'He who glories, let him glory in the Lord'.1 Cor. 1:30-31
    • Lord, You know who will not be alive when we reach 2021. Please reveal Yourself to them before they go to their eternal destiny (Acts 9:3-5).

    • Abba, many Israelis have been saved in exile. Bring them home this year (Isa. 35:10; 51:11).

We thank You for being so faithful to continue in prayer for this nation. Most of our prayers are marathons – but when the answers come, they are well worth the effort. As an example, if you have not read about it, an answer to prayer revealed this week is that Israel has had a major breakthrough in laser weapon technology that will help protect this nation against for more than what we have now.

Blessings from Zion
