1. Praise: In Shabbat's Torah portion Israel goes through the Red Sea resulting in a mighty song of praise from God's children for His saving power being revealed to them and to the Egyptians.

    • YHWH is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation. He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.Ex. 15:2
    • YHWH, who is like You, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?Ex. 15:11
    • We love reading that praise was Israel's first response after escaping its enemy (Ex. 15:1-2).

    • Standing on this side of the incarnation, we rejoice to see that You God the Son, have now become our salvation, our yeshu'ah (Ex. 15:2; Matt. 1:21)!

    • Abba, we bless You for placing Yeshua between us and our enemy (Ex. 14:19-20).

    • Thank You for already knowing what to do with the problems that we bring to you (Ex. 15:13-16).

    • Regardless of our situation, praising You changes us and that is often all we need (Psa. 7:17).

    • Messiah Yeshua, thank You for being our Good Shepherd today, leading us through the valley of death's shadow and setting a table for us in the presence of our enemies (Psa. 23:4-5; John 10:14, 27).

    • Lord, You are good and Your covenant-love/faithfulness endures to all generations (Psa. 136:1)

    • We are so grateful that Your abundant mercies are freely renewed every morning (Lam. 3:23).

  2. Government: This is not a time for anyone to desire to lead Israel, or any other nation. Yet God sets people to do just that – some for blessing's sake and some to hasten His judgment.

    • We give You thanks for those willing to govern in Israel these days (Dan. 2:20-21).

    • Show us the Israeli leaders whose hands are heavy so that we can intercede for them (Ex. 17:12).

  3. Covid-19: The confusion and anger in Israeli society over this virus has resulted in riots by some ultra-Orthodox [Haredi] against the Covid-19 restrictions and the police. These riots are led mostly by young radicals who are unwilling to submit to the government or to their own leaders.

    • Lord, please show Israeli researchers that "tree" referred to in Shabbat's Torah portion that can be thrown into the bitter waters of Covid-19 and heal all who drink of it (Ex. 15:25-26).

    • Let the data that is studied be clearly understood so that correct policies are formed (Ezek. 44:23).

    • Lord, guide Israel as it comes out of its latest lockdown so that it will be its last (Psa. 16:1).

    • Forbid that this type of power over the people goes to the politicians' heads (2 Sam. 23:2-4).

    • Instead, we ask that in all decisions, You would overrule for righteousness sake (Prov. 14:34).

    • Abba, we stand in the gap asking You to give wisdom to the government, the police and the Haredi leadership to know how to deal with the Haredi violence (Isa. 30:21; Jam. 1:6)

    • Impart to the Haredi leadership discretion and authority to rein in their rebels (Lev. 19:32).

    • Convict the Haredi from Your Word that rebellion is as witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:22-23).

    • Speak directly to the hearts of these zealots and change them (Prov. 16:9).

    • Protect Israel from the spirit of anarchy which seems to be increasing in the earth (Gen. 1:2-3).

    • Concerning the economy, we recall what You said to Israel as they complained about lack of food in the wilderness. I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, 'In the evening you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread; and you shall know that I am YHWH your God'. (Ex. 16:12) We look to You for Your daily miraculous provision.

    • Relieve Israeli hospitals of overcrowding and remove all exhaustion from their staff (Psa. 61:1-3).

    • Lord, turn this remote learning time for most Israeli students into a huge blessing (Rom. 8:28).

    • Give much grace to parents who are working from home and have children at home as well.

    • Watch over Israeli families and draw them closer to each other and to Your Son (Eph. 6:1-4).

  4. Israel & US President Biden's administration: One of the concerning issues about Biden's core people is that many are Jewish. History demonstrates that Jews serving in gentile courts, in order to prove their loyalty to the regime they serve, often turn out to be enemies of their people. On top of that, many of these Jews whom Biden has appointed are ex-Obama officials!

    • Lord, reign completely over Israel's relations with the Biden administration (Psa. 103:19).

    • Let Your fear on Israel's leaders overrule the fear of man – even the US president (Prov. 29:25).

    • Reset the mindset in the current and future Israeli government from dealing with a very friendly US leader to one who does not see things from a biblical perspective (Prov. 21:1).

    • Encourage Israel's leaders to just say "No" to things that are not in Your will (Matt. 6:10).

    • We take a stand in the spirit realm and we say "No" to a Palestinian State on Your land (Lev. 25:23)!

    • Do not allow the Biden administration to manipulate Israel in anyway (Num. 23:23).

    • Show the American Church that what Biden does with Your nation and Your land will determine their nation's destiny in the near future (Joel 3:1-2).

    • Let them be as burdened to pray into this as fervently as they prayed for Trump (Ezek. 22:30-31).

  5. Judah, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley: Israel still needs to legalize these areas regardless of what the nations think. The close to 500,000 Jews who live in these areas should be under Israeli civilian – and not military – rule.

    • Lord, we remind You that You brought Your people back to all of Your land to possess it (Jer. 30:3).

    • Since the restoration of Israel is for Your glory, we ask that these areas would come under Israeli civilian rule as soon as possible (Jer. 32:41-44; Mal. 1:5).

    • Abba, bring the Jordan Valley under Israel's sovereignty suddenly (Gen. 13:14-15; Deut. 34:1-4).

  6. Elections – March 23rd: We are asking God to have mercy on His nation and to raise up a government that is more in line with His will than the current one.

    • May the next government extend sovereignty over all the areas mentioned above (Psa. 136:17-22).

    • Use a less-friendly US administration to show Israelis to elect a right-wing, pro-Bible government.

    • We ask for a government that will glorify You, impacting all the surrounding nations (Psa. 115:1-3).

    • Forbid the next government from going to "Egypt" for help, but to rest on You instead (Isa. 30:1-7).

    • Abba, there are so many vital areas in Israel needing attention that only You can straighten out the government's priorities: security; aliyah; settling in after aliyah; the economy; education; foreign affairs; the extension of sovereignty; Covid-19. As these and other areas all seem to be so important, please guide the new government to prioritize them in line with Your will at this time (Psa. 33:10-11).

    • Raise up a government according to Your mercy and not based on what Israel deserves (Neh. 9:19; Psa. 25:6; 44:26; 106:45; Isa. 54:7-8).

    • Prepare a perfect place in the next government for PM Bibi Netanyahu, or if it is his time to retire from politics, show him clearly (Psa. 90:12; Lam. 3:1; Dan. 5:21).

  7. Security: Israel is continually threatened by people who want to see it destroyed from both inside and outside its borders. Yet as Shabbat's Torah portion indicates, God is not silent when it comes to defending His nation against those who choose to curse His people.

    • Lord, in Exodus 14:1-4 we read that You used Israel as bait in Your trap. Please lead us in prayer so that we never pray against Your plans which might not seem logical to us (Mic. 4:11-13).

    • Give wisdom to the government and the IDF to know what to do and what not to do. Fear not, stand still, and see YHWH's salvation which He will show you today: for the Egyptians whom you see, you shall never see them again. YHWH shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. (Ex. 14:13-14)

    • Let Your Angel stand between Israel and all the hostile forces facing it in the north (Ex. 14:19-20).

    • Show Israel's enemies that You are against them and let them fear Your name (Ex. 14:25).

    • You are the same today as at the Red Sea, so arise and scatter Your enemies (Ex. 15:3; Psa. 68:1).

    • Thank You for IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi who is a direct answer to prayer as he is preparing the IDF to fight the next war and not the last one (2 Sam. 23:8a; 1 Chr. 12:32; 1 John 5:14-15).

    • Provide all the finances for the IDF to implement Kochavi's plans (Psa. 50:10-11).

    • May the next Defense Minister be someone who walks in unity with Kochavi (Psa. 133:1-3).

    • Unite the IDF's higher echelon to be Your weapon of war against Your enemies (Jer. 51:20-23).

    • Guard the minds and hearts of all IDF soldiers who are on active duty, including all who operate Israel's unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned patrol boats (Psa. 144:1).

    • Let Israel look to You and not to men, or nations or weaponry (Psa. 20:7-9).

    • In the development of new weapons systems, make Israel the cutting-edge nation (Isa. 41:15-16).

    • Anoint those who decipher the intelligence that Israel accumulates to see what is real and important from what is disinformation and/or unimportant (Ex. 36:1-2; Psa. 51:6; Isa. 28:9-10).

    • Lord, cyberwarfare and quantum physics has not taken You by surprise, so impart wisdom for the IDF to deal with all attacks regardless of where they originate from (Psa. 139:1-12; Jer. 31:37).

    • Protect Your nation from all the demonic schemes of its enemies (Jer. 31:10).

    • Use Messianic Jewish soldiers to be salt and light in the IDF (Matt. 5:13-16).

    • As Israel works with new Middle East allies, forbid it from agreeing to anything not in Your will.

    • Let the rising disgust of many Arabs with the Palestinians over the Abraham Accords result in policy shifts in their nations (2 Sam. 13:15; Psa. 109:5).

    • Impart to the Iran Command in the IDF Your strategy and tactics for today (Zech. 9:13-14).

    • Make it very obvious if and when Israel needs to attack Iran's nuclear facilities (Job 12:13-16).

    • If Israel does attack, show them how to deal with Hizbullah in Lebanon as well (Zech. 11:1).

    • We would prefer to see, and plead for, You to do the destroying via "natural" disasters (Psa. 99:1-2).

    • Thank You for Your church in Iran. Protect and hide them (Matt. 5:11-12; Heb. 13:3).

    • Give them a biblical understanding of Israel, and their relationship with Your nation (Eph. 2:11-22).

    • Guide them in praying for their government (Rom. 13:1-4; 1 Tim. 2:1-4).

  8. Worldwide Church:

    • Thank You Lord Yeshua, that You are building Your church worldwide (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 4:11-16).

    • Refocus believers to make Your kingdom purposes their driving passion (Matt. 6:33).

    • Heal all American believers who are still traumatized by the election results (Isa. 61:1-3).

    • Use the lockdowns to draw Your children closer to You and to study Your Word (John 6:46-47).

    • Remove all shepherds who are not feeding the flock, and place good shepherds in Your fellowships to lead Your sheep in these chaotic times (Ezek. 34:1-10; Acts 20:27-32).

    • Wake up Your Body to what You are doing now in preparation for Your soon return, much of which focuses on the restoration and salvation of Israel (Zech. 12:1-10; Matt. 24:29-31; 1 Thess. 5:1-10)!

  9. Anti-Semitism & Aliyah: International Holocaust Day was observed this last week. Yet often it is a slap in the face to the Jews as ceremonies take place in which the slaughter of the Jews is never mentioned. As far as aliyah is concerned, most Western Jewish leaders, secular or religious, remind us of the warning from Messiah Yeshua about the blind leading the blind (Luke 6:39).

    • Lord, remove the blindness from a significant Jewish remnant in exile, and from Shabbat's Torah portion, fulfill once more what You said in Exodus 15:17-18.

    • Let more Western Jews really consider the growing anti-Semitism and flee Babylon (Jer. 5150).

    • Show them the increasing anti-Semitism on social media because of Covid-19.

    • Give dreams and visions warning the Jews in exile just like You did in the 1930s in Germany and Eastern Europe before the Holocaust (Joel 2:28-30). May more listen this time than back then!

    • Confront anti-Semitic hypocrites who remember the Holocaust yet not the Jews who died (Jer. 51:49).

    • Confront anti-Zionist hypocrites who do recall the dead Jews but are so upset when Israel, the Jewish State, defends living Jews from another attempt to wipe them out (Neh. 2:10).

    • Thank You for all the Jewish and Christian organizations that honor the six-million plus Jews who were slaughtered in the Holocaust and who also minister to the survivors alive today (Jam. 1:27a).

    • May the increase of being able to work from home enable Your people who return to spread out throughout all of Your land (Gen. 48:4; 1 Kin. 4:25).

  10. Salvation: In His timing individuals come to know Him. Think about your personal testimony and know that in the fullness of time, Messiah Yeshua saved you by His Spirit. How much more when all Israel gets saved?

    • Israel saw the great work which YHWH did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared YHWH LORD, and believed YHWH, and His servant Moses.Ex. 14:31
    • You in Your mercy have led forth the people which You have redeemed. You have guided them in Your strength unto Your holy habitation… Fear and dread shall fall upon [the inhabitants of Canaan]; by the greatness of Your arm they shall be as still as a stone, until Your people pass over, O YHWH, until the people pass over, which You have purchased.Ex. 15:13, 16
    • Impart to the Iranian church a burden for the Iranian Jewish community (Rom. 11:11; 15:27).

    • As Exodus 17:6 is read in synagogues this Shabbat, show many Jews the connection between the Rock of Israel and Messiah Yeshua (Rom. 9:33; 1 Cor. 10:4).

    • Give to all believers a specific word in due season for those who ask us about the hope we have that sustains us even in the worst of times (Isa. 50:4; 2 Tim. 4:2; 1 Pet. 3:15).

    • As You do open doors, give believers courage to speak truth (Eph. 6:18-20; 2 Tim. 4:2).

Shabbat shalom and blessings from the city of the Great King Yeshua
