1. Praise: In Shabbat's Torah portion, the Lord God Almighty asks Moses a question which is the ultimate reason for everything that He is doing in the world today.

    • YHWH said unto Moses, 'Is the YHWH's hand waxed short? You shall now see whether My Word shall come to pass unto you or not'.Num. 11:23
    • You have created us at this time to be Your witnesses! Thank You for that privilege (Isa. 44:8).

    • Lord, we joyfully confess that You are watching over Your Word to fulfill it in our day (Jer. 1:12).

    • We are encouraged to know that Your Word does not come back to You empty (Isa. 55:11).

    • We take our stand in the reality that the Word of our God stands forever (Isa. 40:8).

    • God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?Num. 23:19
    • We bless You that as a result of You are watching over Your Word, we have a general idea of what we should be praying for (Amos 3:7).

    • Thank You for the grace which aids us to pray corporately and in unity (Matt. 18:19)..

    • We praise You for being a God who actually answers prayer (Jam. 5:16b).

    • With all the prophetic fulfillments in today's world – especially in relation to Israel – we know that this is another proof of Your total sovereignty in, and over, history (Psa. 24:1; Matt.11:25).

    • We praise You that Your name – Your essential nature – is our strong tower into which we can run and find safety, comfort, security and anything else we need at any given moment (Prov. 18:10).

    • We rejoice that when You begin a good work, You complete it – with Israel and with us (Phil. 1:6).

    • Thank You for Your promise of eternal life, given to believers before the world began (Tit. 1:1-2).

  2. Operation Guardian on the Walls: The unilateral ceasefire Israel declared with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad [PIJ] terror groups in Gaza is holding. Hamas claims a victory only because it survived. In reality, Israel did great damage to both these groups – to their leaders, their weapons, their headquarters and personal homes, to their tunnels throughout Gaza, and likely, to their reputation among Gazan civilians. Yet Israel knows this war is not over – and now with Iran openly boasting that it was the driving force behind it all, the need for intercession has increased.

    • From Shabbat's Torah portion: …Rise up, O YHWH, and let Your enemies be scattered; and let them that hate You flee before You. (Num. 10:35) Amen!

    • Thank You for Israel's huge success within the limits that You sovereignly chose (Psa. 44:4-7).

    • May Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu today – and whoever leads the next government – stand by Israel's commitment of zero tolerance for any rockets fired into Israel from Gaza (Psa. 149:6-9).

    • Abba, we know that only by Israel retaking Gaza completely will these wars against Hamas end. Show us how to pray for this (Zeph. 2:1-7).

    • Raise up Israeli leaders who start speaking openly about repossessing Gaza (Obad. 1:17; Eph. 6:20).

    • Give Israel's leaders and the IDF Your wisdom and ultimate goal re: Gaza (Prov. 21:31).

    • Lord of hosts, drive out the terrorists in Gaza by the sting of Your supernatural army (Ex. 23:28).

    • Forbid Israel from reconquering Gaza and then turning it over to the Palestinian Authority [PA] – even if that is what the rest of the world would demand that Israel must do (Num. 33:55).

    • Increase exponentially the animosity between the PA and Hamas and the PIJ (Psa. 140:8-11).

    • Lord, stir up the people in Gaza to rise up and overthrow their Hamas masters (2 Kin. 9:30-37).

    • Speak to the Gazans in dreams and visions, revealing to them Messiah Yeshua (Acts 10:3, 36).

    • Lord Yeshua, mighty King of Israel, please touch the hearts, minds and emotions of all Israelis who suffer from PTSD as a result of this and previous wars and draw them to Yourself (Luke 9:11).

    • Let the rockets and internal riots that hit in the Gush Dan area (Israel's Mediterranean coast region), wake up, and shake up, all the left wing Israelis to Islam's and fundamentalist Muslims' true agenda toward the Jewish State (Ex. 1:10; Est. 3:6-9; Psa. 83:4).

  3. Security – internal: The internal security situation remains tense – as both the PA and Hamas are now focused on "protecting" Jerusalem. As there were a few terror attacks this past week in Israel's capital, and several terror attempts in other parts of the nation, this verse from Shabbat's Torah portion encourages us to lift up our prayers to God in the midst of this internal battle.

    • If you go to war in your land against an enemy that oppresses you, sound an alarm on the trumpets and you will be remembered before YHWH your God, and be saved from your enemies.Num. 10:9
    • Lord, may our prayers ascend before You like the trumpets of Israel's ancestors.

    • We read in Shabbat's prophetic portion that You, Lord, have chosen Jerusalem and that You have also rebuked Satan (Zech. 3:2). Arise and rebuke Israel's enemy once again in these days.

    • As the mountains around Jerusalem, protect all of Your people at this time (Psa. 125:2).

    • Guard Israel's security services throughout the nation, and keep them on high alert (Psa. 140:7).

    • Guide all drones used for collecting information, and expose any enemy movements (Isa. 31:5).

    • May Israel's cyberwarfare defense and offense be supernaturally effective (Psa. 139:12).

    • Protect all those who track Israel's enemies on social media from all deception (1 John 4:6b).

    • Shield Israeli citizens in vulnerable areas and on public transit, and keep them alert (Psa. 35:2).

  4. As mentioned above, Jerusalem has once again become the central issue in the war of the spirit of Islam against God's end-time plans. Honestly, this is not a fair fight, as our God is in total control and will see to it that His Son, His Word and His glory are magnified – both now and in the end. Of this there should be no doubt. Our assignment is to pray into the time between now and His return so that His will might be worked out with the most mercy and most salvations as possible.

    • O YHWH, I have heard Your speech, and I was afraid: O YHWH, revive Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.Hab. 3:1-2
    • Lord, are we witnessing Zechariah 12:2-3 coming to pass before our eyes? Regardless, please guide us in prayer so that You will be glorified in everything that occurs (Psa. 115:1-3).

    • We do ask that You to make Jerusalem a praise unto Your glory – in all the earth (Isa. 62:6-7).

    • King Yeshua, arise and zealously guard over Your city (Zech. 8:2; Psa. 48:1-2; Matt. 5:35).

    • Lord, hasten the day when violence shall no longer be heard in the land of Israel or destruction within its biblical borders (Isa. 60:18a).

    • As the media lies and distorts so much of what is happening in Jerusalem, we ask for more ways to be created in which the truth can go forth from Zion (Isa. 2:3b-4).

    • We condemn every demonic lying attempt to label Israel as an "apartheid" state, or as a nation that is committing "genocide" against the Palestinians (Isa. 54:17).

    • Abba, guard Israel from the negative interfering of its internal affairs by US President Biden and his administration which is already trying to stop Israel from possessing its possessions (Obad. 1:17).

    • Forbid America from trying to divide Jerusalem in its insane attempts at peace (Isa. 37:33-35).

    • Impart Nehemiah's boldness to many Israeli leaders, who then will declare to world, The God of heaven will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build: but you [insert the name of your nation here] have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem! (Neh. 2:20)

  5. Israeli society was shaken by riots and violence between Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs. This is a situation that could be more dangerous than the Gaza war and needs to be dealt with in prayer.

    • As You have exposed this dangerous hatred in the Jewish State in some of its citizens, please show those who should deal with this problem exactly what to do (2 Chr. 1:10; Psa. 23:5a; Rom. 16:17).

    • Give much grace to the police and other security units who face internal societal violence.

    • Reveal the ringleaders of these violent assaults and let Israel deal with them – whether they be Arab or Jewish – with a heavy hand (Num. 25:4; Rom. 13:1-4).

    • [The media spotlighted a few Jewish radicals, some of whom were actually protecting other Jews from Arab pogroms, yet most of the violence was done through Arab-Israeli hands.] Lord, send Your fear on these Jew-haters and warn them against touching Your people and Your land (Est. 7:5-10).

    • Exorcise this spirit of Jew-hate from all Israeli Arabs that are possessed by it (Ezek. 35:11).

    • Protect the good relationships that most Israeli Jews and Arabs have with each other (Prov. 10:12).

  6. Next government: The time for the left-of-center Yair Lapid to form a new government ends next Wednesday at midnight. We continue to ask God to oversee this whole chaotic mess.

    • Lord God of Israel – extend Your scepter of mercy over this nation at this time (Psa. 102:13).

    • Prevent Yair Lapid from forming a coalition (Dan. 2:21).

    • Forbid a government in Israel that will again be willing to trade land for peace (Jer. 23:1; Joel 3:1-2).

    • Override all agreements that are not according to Your will for Israel (Psa. 33:10-11; Prov. 16:1).

    • Preserve Israel from a government with anti-biblical goals, which would force us to prayer against its plans and policies most of the time (1 Tim. 2:1-4). [Since the 1993 Oslo accords, we have had to pray against most policies of every Israeli government – expect when Netanyahu was prime minister!] - Give to Israel a government that will bring glory to Your name (Ezek. 36:23).

    • May all those politicians who are negotiating for position and power – stop thinking with their huge egos and start considering what is best for this nation (2 Sam. 23:2-3).

    • Let the stink of what a government depending on the Israel-Arab parties, most of whom are more pro-Palestinian than pro-Zion – especially after the recent riots in Israel – let that stink gross out those right-wing leaders [Bennett; Sa'ar; Gantz] who refuse to work with Netanyahu (Isa. 3:24a).

    • Anoint peacemakers to work reconciliation between all the warring right wing leaders (Matt. 5:9).

    • Curtail the media and expose all their fake news (Ex. 20:16; Psa. 63:11; Isa. 59:14-15).

    • Raise up more Israeli journalists who report accurately and tell the truth rather than those who are politically correct and write what tickles the ears of their audience (Psa. 7:8; 26:11; 2 Tim. 4:3-4).

    • Shield all Israelis, including believers, from the enticing lies of all anti-God media (Psa. 3:1-3).

  7. Aliyah & anti-Semitism: The explosion of anti-Semitism, especially in the West during the Gaza war, would be almost unbearable were it not for God warning of exactly this in His Word.

    • Lord, we see the hunters released with greater intensity almost daily (Jer. 16:16). God, wake up and shake up Your people trapped in exile to also see this and to hurry home (Jer. 50:4-5).

    • Open their ears to the warnings of both Jews and Christians who speak of this danger (Matt. 16:3).

    • Please use this terrifying anti-God, anti-Semitic outburst for Your glory (Rom. 8:28).

    • Release tsunami of aliyah – from all the nations – in the very near future (Jer. 23:7-8).

    • Burst the chains holding back so many from making aliyah (Psa. 107:14-15).

    • Take away all false fears of making aliyah (Num. 14:8-9).

    • Let the fear of remaining in exile overcome all fears of returning home (Est. 3:8-9; Ezek. 39:28).

    • Show the religious Jews who are attempting to heal the world, that that time is now past and it is now time to flee Babylon (Jer. 51:5-10).

    • Bring home those who already have family in Israel, also the families of lone soldiers, and Jews who already own property in Israel, as well as those who have begun the process and are stalled halfway.

    • Please make sure that the next government is 100% pro-aliyah (Ezek. 36:24).

    • You who scattered Your people are gathering them today, and we thank You for being alive to be Your witnesses of this prophetic fulfillment (Jer. 31:10).

  8. Church: The blindness of so much of Messiah's Body to what God is doing in Israel for His holy name's sake shows us that many believers have no love or desire for His Word, His glory or the return of His Son. So what exactly is it that they are living for?

    • Help Your children to believe in Your lines more than the headlines (Luke 24:25; 1 Thess. 2:13).

    • To do that, they must know Your Word; please impart a deep hunger for Your Word (Jer. 15:16).

    • Gift Your Body with more anointed elders (Eph. 4:8, 11-15).

    • Remove from Your Body all wolves in sheep's clothing (Acts 20:28-30).

    • Dispossess Your Body of the spirit of anti-Semitism in any form – whether it is despising of Jews, the doctrine of replacement theory, or being deceived by a humanistic social justice and not seeing that You are the only One who is truly just and righteous and who knows what is best for humanity (Gen. 18:5; Isa. 33:22).

    • Remove all fear of man from Your Body, which prevents the proclaiming of the whole counsel of God – from Genesis to Revelation (Acts 20:27).

    • Call all believers in the nations to stand with the Jews at this time and to help them return home (Isa. 49:22; 60:2-12).

    • Open their eyes and pocketbooks to their biblical obligation towards Your people (Rom. 15:26-27)

    • Let all those in Your Body who do have a revelation of the place of Israel in You kingdom purposes, be very influential as they speak with others in the Body who are blind to this truth (Acts 26:25).

    • Lord Yeshua, guard Your Body from being deceived by the avalanche of fake – and/or distorted – news being reported today (Acts 17:13-14).

Shabbat shalom and blessings from Jerusalem

For the IFI team

From Shabbat's prophetic portion: …This is the word of YHWH unto Zerubbabel, saying, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says YHWH of hosts. 'Who are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain, and He shall bring forth the headstone of it with shouts, crying, "Grace, grace unto it"'. (Zech. 4:6b-7)
