1. We started by offering praise unto our extraordinary God and Lord.

"The earth is LORD's [YHWH], and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of LORD, or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation."

    (Psalms 24:1-5)
    • We thank You that You will be glorified and nothing and no one will stop that.

    • We bless You that you are faithful to watch over Your word to do it (Jeremiah 11-12).

    • We are so blessed to be part of the generation that sees Israel resurrected and Jerusalem restored in preparation for the return of Your Son.

  2. It is both a miracle and an answer to pray that Israel is going to new elections. Current Kadima leader Tzipi Livni should have been able to form a government, but failed and now we have this opportunity to pray for a government much more in line with God's kingdom purposes.

    • Thank You God for answering our pleas with You to bring us to new elections.

    • Lord, protect the elections from the manipulations of the media and the West, and the threats of the world.

    • Abba, give us a government through whom You can glorify Yourself.

"I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the gentiles, which you [Israel] have profaned in the midst of them; and the gentiles shall know that I am LORD… when I shall be sanctified in you [Israel] before their eyes."

      (Ezekiel 36:23)
    • May the next government bring us that much closer to being able to see this verse come to pass:

"And your eyes shall see, and you shall say, LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel."

      (Malachi 1:5)
    • Raise up leaders who will honor the physical inheritance You have given to Your people and not despise it - trading this land for a bowl of "peace" porridge.

    • Place in the next coalition those who walk in the fear of You LORD, the God of Israel (Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7; 9:10).

    • Thank You for the timing of the elections - shortly after our Intercessory Prayer Conference.

  3. We prayed for the people of Israel to recognize that this election is vital and to get out and vote.

    • Abba, give Your people clarity of mind. Bring a large majority out to vote.

    • Cause the political parties to declare their platforms clearly to the Israel public - without the media's manipulations.

    • Remove all discouragement from those who have given up hope of any justice coming from the political arena, because You clearly promised that that would not always be the case:

"I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning: afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city."

      (Isaiah 1:26)
    • Raise up the leadership Israel needs - not the ones she deserves (Jeremiah 3:15; 23:3-4).

    • Reveal the Israeli media's anti-Zionist spin.

  4. As a result of a lack of courage and lack of vision about Israel's right to live in this land in safety, the current government has placed Israel between a rock and a hard place concerning continual rockets attacks from Gaza. Israel must defend herself - yet if she does it now, the current incompetent leadership will get extra points in the eyes of the people going into the elections.

    • Lord, give us wisdom and clarity on how to even pray into this situation (James 1:5).

    • We bless You for answered prayer as with the thousands of rockets falling on the south of Israel, deaths have been minimal.

    • Yet God many are emotional and mentally damaged. Heal them and let them know it is You hand doing it.

    • Lord of hosts, give wisdom to the IDF leaders to know what to do.

"Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war."

      (Proverbs 20:18)
    • "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered. Let them also that hate Him flee before Him."

      (Psalms 68:1)
    • Restore Israel's deterrence against her enemies. May the fear of Israel's God of fall on them.

"...the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for LORD fights for them against the Egyptians."

      (Exodus 14:24-25)
    • Show the next government to make security one of its' top priority.

    • From this week's prophetic portion:

"For your violence against your brother Jacob shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for ever."

      (Obadiah 1:10)
  5. Aliyah - the immigration of Jews to Israel - is showing signs of increasing as the global shaking in all areas - specifically the economic - and a worldwide increase in terror attacks, is showing many Jews that Israel is the safest place for them to be.

    • Thank You for the increased interest from North American Jews to come home.

    • Help the new government also make aliyah a top priority.

    • Guard Israel's economy so that she is able to receive more Jews - even those from poorer countries.

    • "Fear not: for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back. Bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by My name: for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yes, I have made him."

      (Isaiah 43:5-7)
    • Bless the efforts of Nefesh b'Nefesh to effectively encourage the Jews from the West to come home - and to settle in the Northern regions of this nation.

    • Remove from Israel - from both the interior ministry and society - all stones of stumbling from the path of Your people returning home (Isaiah 62:10-12).

  6. We prayed for the congregations in Israel to have prophetic vision.

    • Please impart more of a prophetic vision to our brothers and sisters concerning both the land of Israel and the timing of her restoration - today.

    • Open the eyes of more congregational leaders to see clearly in this area.

    • Thank You for the grace You have given us to see what You are doing in restoring Israel - for Your holy name's sake.

    • Help Messianic Jews still living in exile to perceive the connection between Your kingdom coming on earth and this last days restoration of the land of Israel to the people of Israel.

"When LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory."

      (Psalms 102:16)
  7. We then prayed for God to show Israeli congregations their responsibility to pray into the political realm.

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men - for kings, and for all that are in authority - that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

    (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
    • Lord, help your Body see that praying for those in authority is directly connected to the proclamation of the gospel.

    • Open eyes to see that we have a responsibility to lift up our leaders in prayer. If we don't, then who will?

    • Raise up many in the Body in Israel who will stand in the gap for the upcoming elections.

    • Let us be like Moses:

"Therefore [God] said that He would destroy [Israel], had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He should destroy them."

      (Psalms 106:23)
    • Let God's search for intercessors be satisfied when He sees us:

"I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."

      (Ezekiel 22:30)
    • May our prayer be, "God, raise up a government through whom You can glorify Yourself."

We appreciate your continued prayers for IFI and our January Prayer conference, that Yeshua would bring all those whom He has called, and keep away all those whom He has not called. Also that He would even now place on our hearts those prayers He wants to hear during that time.

We bless you and thank you for all of your laboring in prayer for this nation to be all God has called her to be - his special treasured possession.
