1. We give thanks to the Lord for His mercy endures forever and He is forever with Israel.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

    Psalm 46:1-7

We thank You Father that You are with Israel and that You are her refuge and strength.

  2. Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israel

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, Come and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.

    Ps 83:1-4

The UN "Durban 2" conference on racism held in Geneva, Switzerland this past week revealed much of the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel evil that is in the nations.

    • Thank You Lord for the 30 nations that walked out of Iran President Ahmadenijad's tirade against Israel. May they take effective measures to stop his anti-Israel intentions.

    • Father, anti-Semitism and anti-Israel attacks are attacks on You. Rise up O Lord and let Your enemies be scattered.

    • Pray for God's protection and deliverance for the Jewish people from these evil forces.

    • Ask God to turn back and bring to shame all who hate Zion.

    • Thus says the Lord God: When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

      Ezekiel 28:25-26
    • May Your judgment, O Lord, come upon the nations who despise Israel and may You be hallowed in them.

  3. Aliyah

Up, up! Flee from the land of the North, says the Lord; for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven, says the Lord. Up Zion! Escape, you who dwell in the daughter of Babylon.

    Zechariah 2:6-7
    • Pray that the Jewish people will flee from all of the nations where they are scattered.

    • Pray that they will come quickly and not delay.

  4. Security and Defense

The terrorist government Hamas is arming in Gaza with Long-range rockets and anti-aircraft missiles. An estimated 160 tunnels are being used to bring weapons into Gaza from Egypt. Israel Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai told a conference of city mayors in Israel last week to act as if war could break out tomorrow and make sure their cities are ready.

    • Pray for the government, the Israel Defense Forces, and the intelligence people to have the wisdom, understanding and conviction to act in a timely and decisive way in defense of Israel.

    • Pray for the IDF soldiers, that they will be watchful, alert and aware of the enemy's plans and actions.

    • Thank You Father that You do not slumber nor sleep. Thank You that You are watching over Israel. Reveal Yourself in defense of this land and nation.

    • Father, we continue to ask that You prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons and to negate all of their plans to attack Israel.

  5. The Israeli Economy

It is estimated that 130,000 Israelis will lose their jobs between now and the end of this year. 100,000 have already lost their jobs in the past 6 months.

The economic crisis is hitting Israel too. Ask the Lord to make provision for all of the people of Israel as they return to the Land.

    • Lord, give the government the expertise to know how to meet the economic challenges facing Israel.

    • Show the people of Israel what they must do to adjust to the changing economy.

    • Lord, turn the hearts of the people to You in this trying time that they will trust in You and not lean on their own understanding.

  6. Water

Israel is still very much in need of water.

The poor and needed seek water, but there is none. Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, the myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine and the box tree together, that they may see and know, and consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy one of Israel has created it.

    Isaiah 41:17-20
    • Pray that the Lord will act and fulfill this passage of Scripture.

    • Ask God to provide for all of Israel's water needs.

    • Pray that the Sea of Galilee and the water reserves will be filled.

  7. The Salvation of Israel

Yet hear now Jacob My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen. Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you: Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; They will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses; One will say I am the Lord's; Another will call himself by the name of Jacob; Another will write with his hand, The Lord's and name himself by the name of Israel.

    Isaiah 44:1-5
    • Pray that the Holy Spirit of God will come upon the people of Israel and that they will have revelation and knowledge of the Truth leading to salvation in Yeshua.

  8. Prayer for the Body of Messiah in this Land

We closed by praying for the body of Messiah in Israel, that God would unite us, empower us, anoint us and lead us by His Holy Spirit. We prayed that we would be a light to Israel to lead others into the kingdom of God. And we prayed that the word of God would be proclaimed with power and anointing in the congregations this weekend.

Blessings and Thanksgiving,
Shabbat Shalom,
