1. From this Shabbat's prophetic portion.

    • Rejoice with Jerusalem, be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her. That you may...be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; ...and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. For thus says LORD [YHWH], Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream... As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

      Isaiah 66:10-13
    • God of all comfort, we bless You for all the comfort and encouragement You give to us and to Your nation.

    • We thank You for Your faithfulness to Your Word and to Your prophetic promises.

    • If You are doing all that You promised to Israel - while the majority of her citizens are still unsaved - how much more will You watch over and do that which You have promised to those of us who have come to trust in You through Your Son Yeshua.

  2. Israel received very little water from heaven this past week. This continues to be an urgent prayer to keep before God's throne.

    • We thank You that the Chief Rabbis of Israel called for the nation to fast and repent on this past Thursday over the water situation. Have mercy on us and hear and answer.

    • When the poor and needy seek water, and none... I LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, the dry land springs of water... that they may see, and know, consider, and understand together, that the hand of LORD has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created [same word as in Gen. 1:1] it.

      Isaiah 41:17-20
    • Lord, You promised this land would be like the garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:34-35). We remind You that Eden had a river that even watered the surrounding areas (Genesis 2:10-11).

    • Thank You for the report that last year Israelis used less water than in previous years. Continue to help us conserve this precious commodity You provide for us.

    • Help Israel to find new water sources.

    • We look to You to miraculously refill the Sea of Galilee and all Israel's aquifers before this rainy season is finished.

  3. Earlier this week, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, publically rebuked the Turkish ambassador for the recent increase in anti-Israel and anti-Semitic remarks in both the media and government in Turkey. Although an accurate and much needed rebuke, Ayalon received lots of negative feedback. He ended up having to apologize twice for how he handled the situation - but, thank God, he did not apologize for what he said. He needs our prayer support as he is one of Israel's bold new politicians that is making a difference.

    • Lord, give Ayalon wisdom, courage, and humility to continue to do and say the right things - especially when they are not politically correct.

    • Do not allow this to ruin his political career.

    • Raise up more leaders in Israel who will express outrage at nations who encourage anti-Semitic demonization in any national areas - government, media, education, religion, etc.

    • Turkey is turning away from her secular stance to a much more radical Islamic outlook. Lord, use Ayalon's rebuke to help people see this and not just hide their heads in the sand.

    • Wake Israel up to see Turkey's turning more and more towards Iran, Syria and Hamas.

    • May Israel start refusing to supply Turkey with military equipment.

    • Remove Israel's fascination with Turkey as her "Moslem" ally.

    • In light of the above, please shut the door to next week's visit by Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak to Turkey.

      These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens, and no man shuts; shuts, and no man opens;

      Revelation 3:7b
    • Lord, make the believers in Turkey as bold as lions and use them both publically and in the place of prayer for Your will to be done there.

The wicked flee when no man pursues: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

      Proverbs 28:1
  4. Yesterday there was an unsuccessful attack on an Israeli convoy traveling in Jordan. This brings up the issue of security - not just for Israel as a nation - but for God's people, the Jews, wherever they may be.

    • Thank You Lord, for protecting that convoy yesterday.

    • Help the Jordanian police find the perpetrators and deal justly with them.

    • Protect Jews as they travel and make them alert to their surroundings.

    • Remove from Jews in exile this false sense of security they have, that says they are safer there than here in Israel (Leviticus 26:33,38-39).

    • Instill in them the recognition that You have promised them protection - when they come home to Your/their land.

Hear the word of the LORD, O gentiles; declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep/guard him, as a shepherd does his flock.

      Jeremiah 31:10
    • Behold, He that keeps/guards Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

      Psalms 121:4
  5. The last topic turned us to praying for aliyah - the immigration of the Jews to Israel.

    • Thank You that the numbers of Jews returning to Israel last year were up.

    • Continue to bring Your people home, as You have so often promised.

I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel...You shall yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and eat them as common things.

      Jeremiah 31:3b-5
    • Bring a sudden increase this year - from the ends of the earth.

For I will take you from among the gentiles, gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

      Ezekiel 36:24
    • Cause many of the million or so yordi'im [Israelis living in other nations] to become very homesick and return to their land and their families.

    • Release the Jewish community in Iran and quicken the Jewish community in Turkey to both come home. Also, set free other Jews living under Islamic rule.

    • Continue to wake up the North American Jewish community that now is the time to come back, while they are able to bring their silver and their gold with them. (Isaiah 60:9b)

    • Cause Your body to see that helping Your people return from exile is another way to be involved in the return of Your Son and the setting up of His Kingdom (Isaiah 49:22).

    • We bless You for the continuing strength of Israel's economy. Use this as another reason for Your people to desire to return to Zion.

  6. Aliyah ultimately is for the positioning of God's people to be able to receive Yeshua as their Messiah and King. Therefore, we next prayed for Israel's salvation.

    • Then [after v. 24 - see above] will I sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them.

      Ezekiel 36:25-27
    • I will pour upon the house of David, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications, and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

      Zechariah 12:10
    • Abba, open the eyes of many Orthodox as they read Your Word (Psalm 119:18).

    • Save all Holocaust survivors that are still alive.

    • Draw the youth to Your Son - especially those who are in the IDF, protecting Israel from her enemies.

Blessed be LORD my strength, who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I trust...

      Psalms 144:1-2a
    • Mature the Israeli Body to be used by You - to bring glory to Your name.

    • Bless us. Protect us. Help us. Supply us with the right words in due season and a deep love for You and our people Israel.

A man has joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

      Proverbs 15:23
  7. It is imperative in these last days for the worldwide body of Yeshua to receive the revelation that God is restoring Israel - for His holy name's sake. And then to see that this is why all the forces of hell are trying to destroy her.

    • Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Your name give glory, for Your mercy, and Your truth's sake. Why should the nations say, Where is their God? But our God is in the heavens. He has done whatsoever He has pleased.

      Psalms 115:1-3
    • Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; I am not doing this for your sakes...but for My holy name's sake, which you profaned among the gentiles, wherever you went. I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the gentiles shall know that I am LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you [Israel] before their eyes.

      Ezekiel 36:22-23
    • Thank You for the growing remnant of the Church in the West that understands this and stands with Israel and intercedes for Israel's restoration to both her land and her Lord.

    • Increase exponentially this remnant this very year.

    • Yet prevent any in this group from glorifying Israel. You and You alone deserve the glory.

Blessing, and honor, glory, and power, be unto Him who sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.

      Revelation 5:13b

      Amen!

    • Remove the blasphemy of replacement theology from Your body.

As we saw in Haiti this past week, things throughout the world are shaking - just as Messiah Yeshua said they would. May the God of all comfort - comfort those in Haiti who survived and bring revival to that very needed nation. And may that same God, discomfort all of Israel's enemies, however He chooses to do that, and also save many of them.

Please remember the IFI team in prayer as this is in the final week of preparation before our annual International Prayer Conference in Jerusalem. There will be one more Friday Prayer Alert before we take a two week break during the conference and prayer tour that follows.

Shabbat shalom and blessings,
