1. The prophetic portion read in synagogues this Shabbat includes God's covenant with King David - 2 Samuel 7:17. Part of the covenant includes God's commitment to give His people the land of Israel.

    • Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime.

      2 Sam. 7:10
    • Great is Your faithfulness.

    • We bless You that we can call You Abba.

    • Thank You for bringing Israel home - for Your holy name's sake (Ezek. 36:22-24).

    • We praise You that though the enemy has been saying for over 3,000 years, Come, let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance (Psalm 83:4), we are still here and most of the nations named in that Psalm are not!

  2. Yesterday in Israel was Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day. Both Prime Minister 'Bibi' Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres gave excellent speeches on the night before at Yad v'Shem - Israel's institute dedicated to all things related to the Holocaust. Bibi again mentioned the similarities between the 1930s and the world's lack of dealing with Hitler, and today's world's non-dealing with Iran. Of course, he is criticized for constantly bringing up this comparison, but we believe he is speaking a God-given warning to the world. We therefore prayed for Bibi.

    • Lord, we thank You for Bibi Netanyahu and bless Him in the name of Yeshua.

    • Lord Yeshua, if he does not know you, reveal Yourself to him today (Zech. 12:10).

    • We thank You for enabling Israel's leader to speak truth. Continue to give him the courage to live what he declares.

    • Protect his whole household - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

    • For there is not a spell against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel. Now it is said of Jacob and Israel, See what God has done!

      Num. 23:23 LITV
    • Abba, use this man for Your glory.

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.

      Psa. 80:17
    • Lord, by Your Spirit, enable Bibi to know what counsel he receives that is from You and what is not. (Prov. 11:14; 15:22)

    • There are many thoughts in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

      Prov. 19:21; cp. Psa. 33:10-11
    • Give to Bibi the gift of the fear of God and take from him the snare of the fear of man (Prov. 29:25).

  3. We again stood in the gap for the very real threat coming against Israel - and the rest of the world - from Iran. As usual, we first asked God to deal with it Himself.

    • Lord, earthquakes have shaken Iran this past week - yet none was big enough to stop their drive for nuclear weapons. Arise, God, and really shake that nation.

    • Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail. Let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O LORD, that the nations may know themselves to be only men. Selah.

      Psa. 9:19-20
    • Increase the political discord between President Ahmadinejad and Iran's Supreme religious leader Khamenei.

    • Remove the scepter of authority from Ahmadinejad.

    • Cut the head off the snake that calls itself the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

    • Push the Iranian leadership into panic mode and cause them to make major mistakes in all of their political and security decisions.

    • We thank You for the growing Iranian Body of Messiah. We bless them in the name of Yeshua.

The LORD that made heave and earth, bless you from Zion.

      Psa. 134:3
    • Protect our Iranian brothers and sisters. Teach them how to pray and deliver them from all anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist leanings or spirits.

    • Lord, cause the end result of the terrible Syrian situation to be a huge hindrance to Iran's plans of leadership in the Middle East.

    • Have much mercy on innocent Syrians and save many.

  4. There is a strong possibility that God will deal with Iran through Israel's military, as God's prophetic word indicates Israel will be tasked to be His weapon of war (Jer. 51:20).

    • Lord, if Israel needs to attack, please give great wisdom to her leaders concerning timing, targets, weapons to use and preparation for the days following.

    • Every purpose is established by counsel, and with good advice plan war.

      Prov. 20:18; 24:6
    • Protect Israel's intelligence assets inside Iran.

    • Enable them to get accurate, up-to-date intelligence information.

    • Provide protection for all of Israel's soldiers and pilots who go out to war.

    • Since our goal is for You to receive the glory - we ask for a supernaturally successful result.

Behold, I will make you [Israel] a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth. You shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and make the hills as chaff. You shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them:and you shall rejoice in the LORD, and glory in the Holy One of Israel.

      Isa. 41:15-16
    • Lord of Hosts, release Your armies to deal with the spirits ruling over Persia/Iran.

  5. The IDF has experienced a series of mishaps this past week, resulting in the death of several Israeli soldiers. This next week, Israel observes Remembrance Day in honor of the 22,000 plus soldiers who have given their lives to defend this nation. Obviously, many need the comfort that only Israel's God through Messiah Yeshua can give. The IDF, and their families, needs our constant prayer support.

    • Lord, give to Israeli soldiers courage and strength to do that which is needed to do to protect this nation on a daily basis.

    • Abba, raise the morale of this army today.

    • Give great courage and peace to the parents of all our soldiers.

    • Comfort all who have lost love ones in the defense of this nation.

    • Thank You that there have not been any further successful kidnappings of soldiers.

    • Although the deaths this week are not 'good', You said You could cause all things to work together for good for those who are called according to Your purpose (Rom. 8:28). Please do so with these tragedies.

    • Muzzle the media from backstabbing the IDF.

    • Use believing soldiers to share Your good news with their fellow soldiers.

    • We bless You for protecting Israel through the IDF (Mic. 4:11-13; Zech. 12:2-9).

    • Hear the word of the LORD, O gentiles, and declare it in the islands far off, saying, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep/guard him, as a shepherd his flock.

      Jer. 31:10
  6. Soldier's Memorial day starts this coming Tuesday evening, followed on Wednesday evening by Israel celebrating it's 64th birthday.

    • Abba, protect this nation from any plans the wicked one may have to bring death and destruction during these events.

    • Stop all terrorists in their tracks.

    • Quicken Israel's security forces.

    • We trust You to complete the work You started when You called Israel to be Your witness to the world (Gen. 12:3b: cp. Gal. 3:8).

    • Behold, He who keeps Israel will not slumber nor sleep.

      Psa. 121:4
  7. Many Jews throughout the world also celebrate Israel's Independence day. This is a wonderful time to pray for them to consider coming home (making aliyah) to Israel.

    • Abba, make the millions of Jews living in New York City homesick.

    • Deal with the 'spectator' spirit of Western Jews. Encourage them to get involved in the game by coming and living here.

    • Reveal to Messianic Jews who are still living in exile, through Your Word and Your Spirit, that they need to be open to You speaking to them about making aliyah.

    • Unite split families, bringing those in exile to live with those in Israel.

    • Open the doors wide for Jews who are still in places like India and China to be able to make aliyah.

    • Release the 25,000 strong community of Iranian Jews from their exile.

    • According to Isaiah 49:22, the Church is to have aliyah as an end-time burden. Lord Yeshua, speak to Your Body concerning their responsibility - and privilege - to help carry Your people back home.

We ended praying about IFI. Please ask the Lord to continue to lead us in all of the works that are from Him. We would especially appreciate your prayers for the next Volume of our Praying Through the Land of Israel DVD series, The South.

Shabbat shalom and happy birthday to Israel.
