Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

Psalm 107:1-3

Thank You, Lord:

  • for bringing Your people home.

  • for redeeming us from the hand of the enemy, and that You have great power to keep those You have redeemed rooted in Yourself.

  • for the gift and power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.

    Psalm 96:9
  • that Your mercies are new every morning. Your mercies endure forever.

  • You are good.

  • You never change and we are in Your hands.

  • The veil which separates man from God has been torn apart and all can have access to You.

  • We can sing a new song to You this morning.

  • that Your grace is sufficient for all our needs.

  • for safe travelling and a safe return home for our leaders who have been overseas.

  • that You are a very present help in time of trouble.

  • for the precious blood of Yeshua shed on the cross!

  1. Rain

The former rains are not here. The Lord promised that His land would be like the Garden of Eden and for this we need much water. We must appeal to the Lord!

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises on the harp to our God, Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.

    Psalm 147:7-8
    • Lord, please send snow on Mount Hermon, an abundance of water to soak slowly into the earth.

    • Release the rains, o Lord. Do a miracle this winter by filling the Kinneret to the very top and also refill the aquifers on the coast and in the mountains.

    • As the people of Israel ask for rain, turn them to You.

  2. American Elections

We are praying for the elections in America taking place next Tuesday 6th November because the outcome is so crucial for America, for Israel, and for the world. Billy Graham has met recently with Mitt Romney and has come out in support for the Republican candidate who stands in many important policy areas, for biblical values. Romney is a Mormon and not a believer. But the American people are called to elect a President and not a Savior and as a Mormon, Romney has clear principles, notably regarding Israel. A major obstacle could be the reluctance of many Christians to vote for a Mormon.

    • Pray for Mitt Romney to win, and to win by a clear margin giving him a platform to govern.

    • Pray that the Lord would overcome the reluctance among Evangelical Christians to vote for a Mormon, and prompt the believers to actually vote.

    • Motivate the apathetic to turn out to vote.

    • Cause Obama to make mistakes even in the last days of the election campaign.

    • Raise up true believers around Mitt Romney.

    • Bring about a really positive relationship between the new President and Israel, especially with Israel's Prime Minister.

    • Protect America from all that is demonic in Mormonism.

    • Hold back Your judgment from America at this time!

  3. Israeli Elections

The elections on 22nd January 2013 will take place on the first full day of our coming prayer conference. At the moment we are in a busy season of political positioning as the different leaders are seeking to establish alliances which will give them the best chances of success in the elections. Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has formed an electoral alliance with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman so they will be running as a single party in January. Others are looking to establish a strong opposition force and the media are hyping up the whole thing emphasizing who are the most electable candidates rather than focusing on what they believe or have done. Pray:

    • for Netanyahu to be returned to office as Prime Minister with a workable majority enabling him to govern effectively.

    • that the Centre-Left leaders will not be able to agree or come together effectively to oppose Netanyahu's Likud Party.

    • that the new government which is formed would be able to bring in electoral reform and establish a stronger governmental system in Israel.

    • Thank You, Lord for Netanyahu's leadership. Give him political wisdom.

    • Raise up godly leaders, men and women of godly wisdom and integrity.

    • Give the Israeli people ability to see through all the media hype and recognize people of integrity.

    • Grant that all the parties will choose electoral lists which will bring Your chosen members into the next Knesset.

  4. Lebanon - Syria

War and killing continue undiminished in Syria and this is spilling over more and more into neighboring Lebanon. In Lebanon which has known its share of sectarian violence and killing, we are seeing signs that the nation is descending again towards chaos. A particular concern is what will happen to Syria's stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons as Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria may be on the edge of collapse. On one hand we are grateful for our answered prayers that God would confound and confuse our enemies. On the other hand we cry out to God for mercy toward the multitudes of innocents caught up in the conflict. There has been news in recent days that Hezbollah in Lebanon has been installing cameras along the Israeli border in order to watch what Israel is doing. Pray:

    • Lord, confound all the enemy's plans to arm Hezbollah with chemical or any other weapons. Block their chains of supply!

    • Anoint Israel's information networks so that they might know what our enemies are doing and not be caught by surprise.

    • Keep the IDF alert. Show our leaders what is happening.

    • Thank you, Lord that You are confounding our enemies and causing them to be busy destroying each other rather than seeking to destroy Israel. Have Your way, Lord!

    • Watch over all the believers in Lebanon and in Syria. Cause them to grow in their faith. Increase their understanding of their role as prayer warriors that they might know how to pray in the Spirit and with the understanding. Show them when to speak and when to be silent when to stand and when to flee.

  5. Southern Israel

In the face of continued rocket firing from the Gaza strip into Israeli communities nearby there is the danger that Israel's government might modify its response according the needs of their election campaigns. Netanyahu has been pointing out that during his time as Prime Minister he has kept Israel out of war, and probably wants to avoid being drawn into one now. Pray:

    • that the coming election would not be a hindrance to doing what is right.

    • that the government would be above the election campaign and able to govern as they need to.

    • give them wisdom to know what is God's will and to do it.

    • if Israel goes into Gaza again, let them deal a decapitating blow to Hamas.

    • Thank you, Lord that over the years there have been so few casualties.

    • Give Your protection and peace of mind for the people in the areas under fire.

    • Bring healing to adults and to children from the trauma of living under fire. Restore the people.

    • Make the Body of Messiah a light in the darkness and a fountain of healing for the wounded people.

  6. Egypt

The Egyptian government of President Mohammed Morsi remains unable to control the activities of al-Qaeda operating in the Sinai on the border with Israel. They are a threat both to Israel and to Morsi's regime.

    • Give Your wisdom, Lord, to both Israel and Egypt to know how to act to bring the threat of al-Qaeda under control.

    • Help Israel to complete the building of the fence along the Egyptian border.

    • Protect all Israel's soldiers watching the border. Keep them alert.

    • Continue to confound our enemies and cause them to be so preoccupied with fighting one another that they will have neither time, energy nor resources to fight against Israel.

  7. Iran

Iranian authorities announced this week that they have completed the installation of centrifuges in their Fordow plant, enriching uranium to enable them to make nuclear weapons.

The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the foremost of their might. Against Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and scatter them toward all those winds; there shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger, says the Lord; And I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them. I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy from there the king and the princes, says the Lord. But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam, says the Lord.

    Jeremiah 49:34-39

    Pray:

    • for Israel to know what she needs to do.

    • for a catastrophic industrial accident in Fordow.

    • with thanksgiving for the increase in salvations in Iran and for a hunger for the truth of God's word.

    • that the Body of believers would grow in boldness especially in prayer. Give understanding of the responsibility they have as intercessors for their nation and the authority You have conferred upon them.

    • Thank You that You will set Your throne in Elam.

    • Thank You too that You will break the bow of Elam and You will destroy from there the king and the princes.

  8. Balfour Declaration

Today is the 95th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration promising the support of the British government toward the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in what was then called Palestine.

    • We give thanks for the men of integrity in the British government in 1917.

    • Lord raise up voices for the truth even today in Britain and elsewhere in the world.

    • Raise up those in Britain today who will stand against the tide of Islam.

    • Thank You, Lord for Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada and others like him who are willing to stand for the truth.

Great is Thy faithfulness, o God my father,
there is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not.
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Shabbat Shalom!
