1. With all of the intensity of activity surrounding Israel - both physically and spiritually - we began by reminding ourselves that the God of Israel does indeed reign!

    • The ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have received no kingdom yet, but will receive authority as kings one hour with the beast [i.e., the Anti-Christ]. These have one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the [Anti-Christ]. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them. For He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those with Him are the called and elect and faithful…The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues, and the ten horns which you saw on the [Anti-Christ], these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked. And they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God placed in their hearts to do His will, and to act with one mind, and to give their kingdom to the [Anti-Christ] until the Words of God will be fulfilled.

      Revelation 17:12-17
    • Lord, we are so grateful that You reign over kings and kingdoms to accomplish Your will (Psalm 2:1-12).

    • We rest in Your sovereignty in the midst of all the chaos that seems to be overtaking the world. YHWH has prepared His throne in the heavens; His kingdom rules over all. (Psalms 103:19)

    • We trust in Your faithfulness to see Your word fulfilled in Israel, as well as in our lives (Philippians 2:12-13).

    • What a mighty God we serve! Ah, Lord YHWH! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm. Nothing is too difficult for You. (Jeremiah 32:17)

  2. The UN annual General Assembly meeting will be held in NYC, from September 24th through October 1st. Iran's new president Hassan Rouhani will be speaking there and he was the focus of our intercession. Much of the world sees him as a 'moderate' and even US President Obama is wanting to meet with him. Yet he is as radical a Shiite and as much of an anti-Semite as his predecessor Ahmadinejad - but he hides it better. Also, Ayatollah Khamenei is the real power in Iran - and neither he nor Rouhani are willing to stop Iran's drive for nuclear power.

    • Lord, as Rouhani speaks, strip off from him the sheep skin and let his true wolf nature come forth.

    • Expose what is in his heart of hearts. Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (Matthew 12:34)

    • The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

      Psalms 55:21
    • Abba, it seems that You have already given over much of the West's leaders to deception because they are not wanting to hear and respond to truth (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10). Still, we ask You for mercy on many in their nations to respond to the truth.

    • Lord, may Your Church in their respective nations intercede for their leaders to hear and deal with truth.

    • May Your truth set many free from the seductions of Islam.

  3. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin 'Bibi' Netanyahu will also be speaking at the UN. As of today, that is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st. He is also supposed to have a meeting with Obama before that and Obama will be speaking at the UN on September 30th.

    • Lord, we bless You for Bibi. If it was not for his persistence over the past 20 plus years to warn the world of the global dangers of an Iranian nuclear weapon, Iran would have many nukes by now, and the world would be in a much greater danger - facing nuclear armed terrorists and a radical nuclear Shiite regime in Iran.

    • Thank You that You are showing Bibi that Israel can only depend on You and on the IDF, which You have raised up for this nation to defend itself (Isaiah 41:10-16; Micah 4:11-13).

    • Use the Syrian WMD farce of a disarmament agreement to wake up all of Israel's leaders to the total lack of dependability and support America has become for its allies under the current Obama administration.

    • We hold up Netanyahu's arms to You during this battle (Exodus 17:10-12).

    • Use him at the UN and in Washington for Your glory (Isaiah 46:10, 13).

    • May Your will be spoken through Netanyahu as he speaks to both the world at the UN and to Obama.

    • Lord, overshadow the speech writers and write the speech that You want to hear from this man.

    • Protect Bibi from all manipulation and treachery during his trip to the US. Surely, there is no spell against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel. According to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What God has worked! (Numbers 23:23)

    • Lord, You said in the mouth of two or three witnesses let every truth be established (Deuteronomy 19:15; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1; etc.). So we hold up before You the following three verses and ask that You would manifest them in the life of Your servant Netanyahu during this trip abroad: A man's heart plans his way, but YHWH directs his steps. (Proverbs 16:9); There are many purposes in a man's heart, but the counsel of YHWH shall stand. (Proverbs 19:21); The king's heart is in the hand of YHWH as the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He will. (Proverbs 21:1)

    • Place it on the hearts of multitudes of Israelis to support and pray for their prime minister.

    • We declared out loud Psalm 2 over the UN and all of its activities.

  4. Our next prayer burden was Russian President Vladimir Putin. This former [?] KGB agent came out of the Syrian WMD disarmament agreement as a leader whom his allies' can trust. Yet for Israel to even begin to see him as a friend or ally would be very dangerous. An anti-Semitic spirit has ruled over that land for many centuries. Still, with 20% of Israelis Russian speakers - including a number in government positions - 'Mother Russia' can be deceptively comforting and viewed as a friendly nation.

    • Lord, give real insight to Israel's leaders concerning the real heart of Putin and the rest of Russia's leaders.

    • Thank You for Putin saying just yesterday that Israel's alleged nuclear weapons stockpile only serves to make the Jewish state a target and creates foreign policy problems. (From The Jerusalem Post.)

    • Wake up Israelis to see that he is pushing Israel to be defenseless in a very rough neighborhood.

    • Use Israel's Russian immigrants to speak boldly about the real heart attitude of Russia towards the Jews.

    • Abba, do not allow Israelis to switch from seeing America as our 'big brother protector' to seeing Russia as taking that role, but help Israel to look to You and You alone! (Isaiah 51:1; Micah 7:7; Zechariah 12:10).

    • O my Strength, let me look to You, for God is my strong tower.

      Psalms 59:9
  5. Syria's weapons of mass destruction are still under President Assad's control. While there does not seem to be any chance that America will hit Syria militarily, still Israel has its own red lines and has apparently hit Syrian targets four times since January. Israel needs to keep those red lines so that these weapons do not fall into the hands of al-Qaeda or be transferred to Hizbullah.

    • Captain of heaven's armies, give Israel's leaders supernatural determination to not allow these WMD to fall into terrorists hands - either on Assad's side or on the side of the rebels.

    • Guard and hide all of Israel's spies and collaborators in Syria and Lebanon and enable them to provide accurate and detailed intelligence information.

    • Keep Your hand on the trigger of Israel's army and use it as Your weapon of war (Jeremiah 51:20).

    • Protect this nation over the Sukkot feast from any surprise attacks at all (Psalm 121:4).

  6. We prayed for the local Israeli Body of Messiah during this Sukkot/Tabernacles season. The word for 'feasts' in Leviticus 23 is moedim [pl.]. A moed [sing.] is a time set aside by God to meet with His people - which includes all of His born again children.

    • Lord, we thank You for Sukkot - a time of You desiring to meet with Your people (Leviticus 23:33-43).

    • Help us to be available to meet with You.

    • Do not allow the cares of the world steal from us time we can spend with You (Mark 4:18-19).

    • Restore unto us the joy of our salvation (Psalm 51:12).

    • Help local believers hear Your directions during this time - as there are so many meetings and conferences that we could end up exhausted and spiritually exposed and needing a holiday from this holiday season.

    • We trust You to speak very definitely. My sheep hear My voice. (John 10:27a)

    • Provide the local Body with discernment so, when attending various meetings, we reject anything that is anti-Word of God while accepting all that is from You for us today.

    • We are asking for growth in the Israeli Body - both numerically and spiritually.

    • For Your holy name's sake, make us all You have created us to be (Jeremiah 33:6-9).

    • Give us that new heart and new spirit You promised would be the mark of the new covenant that You make with Your people (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

    • I bring near My righteousness. It shall not be far off, and My salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion, for Israel My glory.

      Isaiah 46:13
  7. Municipal elections will be held throughout Israel on October 22nd. We prayed specifically for the current mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, to be re-elected.

    • Yeshua Lord, we thank You for Nir Barkat and the excellent job he has done in watching over Your city.

    • Lord, despite the backing of many political parties for his opponent, we are asking for Barkat to be re-elected overwhelmingly.

    • Bring all Jerusalemites out to vote.

    • We know that You raise up national leaders and pull down national leaders. Therefore, we are looking to You to raise up Barkat for another term of office.

    • Concerning all other municipal elections, Abba, as Your servant Daniel said, raise up the men and women of Your choice. …until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will. (Daniel 4:25b; 5:21b)

    • Lord, we also ask that the person of Your choice to be the next Governor of the Bank of Israel would be agreed on by PM Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid and appointed quickly.

  8. We are entering the rainy season in Israel. While we are so grateful to God that Israel's water crisis was declared over last year, still we do not take the water in this land for granted. So we prayed for the rains to come early and stay late. After all, God did say that this land which was desolate, would become like the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:33-36) - and that means lots of water!

Shabbat shalom, hag sameach and blessings from Zion,

And your eyes shall see, and you shall say,
YHWH will be magnified from the border of Israel.
