1. We continue to pray for rain in the season of the latter rains.

Then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

    Deuteronomy 11:14
    • Thank you for the refreshing rain you gave us last week. Please have mercy upon this thirsty land and fulfill all your promises to give rain.

    • When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.

      1 Kings 8:35-36
    • We confessed some of the sins of the nation recognizing that that Lord has been merciful to us despite the wickedness of His people:

    • Thank you, for giving us rain despite our sins as a nation!

  2. "Peace Process"

PA President Mohammed Abbas has been in Washington this week and has met with American President Obama. More Palestinian prisoners are due for release by the end of the month. Many in Israel argue that since the negotiations are clearly leading nowhere and the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, there is no reason to continue to release convicted murderers to return to their communities as heroes often to continue shedding Jewish blood. Pray:

    • That the planned release of murderers would not take place.

    • Lord, please forgive Israel for this corruption of justice.

    • Harden the heart of Abbas that he would not moderate his demands but would only ask for more and more concessions.

    • I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.

      Joel 3:2
    • Cause Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to come to a place of fearing God and the judgment which comes on those who divide up Your land.

    • Give wisdom to Benyamin Netanyahu and the conviction that it is more important to have God on our side than the USA.

  3. Prime Minister Netanyahu

We have just celebrated Purim in Israel. Esther called to resist and expose the evil plans of the wicked Haman.

    • Thank you for calling Netanyahu to lead Israel for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)

    • Give Netanyahu the grace to say "No" to what You say "No" to and "Yes" to what You say "Yes" to.

    • Put a guard on his lips that he may be protected from speaking any rash and compromising words.

    • Give him the integrity to speak what he means as a statesman rather than speaking the devious half-truths of a politician.

But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

      Matthew 5:37
    • Continue to speak to Netanyahu through Your word - in the Bible studies he holds in his home, as he reads regularly with his son. Also give him a hunger for Your truth so he may seek to read it alone.

    • May Your word continue to flow out in the speeches he makes.

    • Be his rock, his strength, his refuge. (Psalm 62:7)

    • When all the pressures press in upon him so that he has no means of escape, may he know that You are the means of escape!

    • Surround him with godly counsel and grant him the discernment to know whom to listen to and whom not to.

  4. Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon has created a storm this week by openly speaking the truth about the weakness of the United States in dealing with Putin and the Crimea situation. Officials in the USA administration were very offended by this true statement, which anyone who is not totally blinded to the truth would know is accurate and will have world wide consequences. Ya'alon who in the past has been reported to have been against an Israeli strike on Iran (believing that the USA would deal with it), has now obviously had his eyes opened to the reality that only Israel is willing to deal with this existential threat.

    • May voices in the USA stand up and acknowledge that what Ya'alon said is the truth.

    • That Ya'alon would (with the Lord's wisdom) continue to speak the truth.

    • For the P.M. to mollify the Americans while assuring Ya'alon that he knows he was speaking truth.

  5. Syria

This week 4 Israeli soldiers were injured in an explosion on the border with Syria. Israel responded strongly with air strikes on Syrian positions nearby.

    • Bring healing for the injured soldiers.

    • Give boldness and wisdom to Israel's leaders remembering that Esther was called to confront evil.

…The king permitted the Jews who were in every city to gather together and protect their lives-to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces of any people or province that would assault them…

      Esther 8:11
    • Put fear of the God of Israel into our enemies, so You might receive all the glory!

    • Watch over Israel's intelligence services so that we may know all the evil being planned by our enemies.

    • May Israel's political, military and religious leaders call the people to turn to God in the midst of our trials.

    • Pray that the nation would put its trust in You and not make an idol of the IDF.

  6. Jordan

Last week a Jordanian judge was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers when he attempted to attack them at the border crossing between Jordan and Israel. This has provoked outrage among many Jordanians regardless of the fact that the soldiers were protecting life. Israel has agreed that there be a joint enquiry into the incident by the two nations. Pray:

    • That the peaceful relationship between Israel and Jordan would be preserved.

    • That Israel would not be pressed into compromise.

    • That agreement would be based upon the truth of what happened.

    • Thank You that we can see the true enmity of many Jordanians toward Israel despite the relative "peace".

    • Watch over and protect Jordanian believers and others who are true friends of Israel.

  7. IDF

    • Keep the soldiers alert on their watch.

    • Guard against all kidnapping attempts.

    • Give each member of the armed forces a clear vision for why they are there.

So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

      Ezekiel 37:10
    • We continued to pray for believing soldiers to be a light in the places they are serving in the armed forces and that the Lord would send them out two by two alongside at least one other believer in the same unit.

  8. Ukraine

The crisis in the Ukraine and Russia's takeover of the Crimea has exposed a shift in the world balance of power with America and Europe unwilling and unable to prevent Russia from establishing herself in a more powerful position on the world stage. Pray:

    • That Israel would truly recognize the implications that she really is alone and her so-called friends won't help her.

    • Protect Israel from getting caught up in the situation in Crimea.

    • Wake up the Jews in Ukraine to their need to make Aliyah.

    • Cause the ministries of Interior and Absorption to make plans to bring the Ukrainian Jews home quickly.

    • Give boldness to believers in Ukraine and bring multitudes to salvation in the midst of the crisis.

  9. Christ at the Checkpoint conference

With the conference in Bethlehem now over, we are thankful that there were some willing to proclaim truth. Pray:

    • Thank you for the clear statement that the security barrier was created to prevent terrorism against Israelis and has been hugely successful in achieving this aim.

    • Thank you for the message from a young Palestinian to her people not to have a "preoccupation with the occupation". May many at the conference take note!

    • Cause many of the attendees of the conference to seek discernment in order to separate truth from lies.

Shabbat Shalom!
