1. This morning we began our time together in Psalm 33 giving thanks to our heavenly Father for His faithfulness.

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! for praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the Lord with the harp; make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth.
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
    From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth;
He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy,
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.
Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.

    • Thank You, Lord that You bring the counsel of the nations to nothing and make the plans of the peoples of no effect (v10).

    • Thank You that Your word stands forever and we can always trust in Your word. (Isaiah 40:8)

    • Thank You that Your Son, Yeshua is the same yesterday, today and forever and we can count on Him. (Hebrews 13:8)

    • Your word is truth (John 17:17)

    • You are faithful and we trust in Your faithfulness.

    • Thank You that You are watching over Your word to perform it. (Jeremiah 1:12)

    • Hodu l'Adonai ki tov, ki l'olam chasdo. O give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

      Psalm 118:1
  2. The "Piece by Piece Process" The Israeli government has announced the suspension of negotiations with the Palestinians in response to the latest agreement struck between Abbas and Hamas. At the moment it is looking as though our prayers are being answered for the Palestinians to make strategic mistakes, making demands and taking steps that even much of the world cannot accept. Only days ago Netanyahu's government looked as though it was in danger of falling apart. Now it is united in opposition to continuing talking with a united grouping of the Palestinians which includes terrorist Hamas. Pray:

    • That the process would be ended completely.

    • Thank God that even the Americans seem to understand that Israel cannot talk with those who are dedicated to our destruction and continue to fire rockets at Israeli citizens.

    • May American Secretary of State John Kerry recognize the mistakes he has made in the pressures he has been putting on Israel.

    • Thank You, Lord that the Israeli government is united in opposition to negotiations continuing. Continue to unite the nation and its government!

    • Thank You, that the true motives of the Palestinian leadership is being revealed and we can see more clearly that Fatah like Hamas only seeks the destruction of Israel. Continue to expose the truth!

    • Guard Israel against the outbreak of a third intifada (Palestinian uprising).

    • Prepare Israel's security forces and make them alert to guard the nation from threats from Gaza, Judea and Samaria and from elsewhere within Israel.

    • Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18) O, God, as pride rises up in the Palestinian leaderships, cause their true plans to be exposed and destroyed!

  3. Prime Minister Netanyahu. Israel's P.M. has received a gift from the Palestinians as the agreement between Hamas and Fatah has averted a crisis in the Israeli government. He now needs to know what direction to take in the days ahead. Pray:

    • For the Lord's revelation and direction for the way ahead.

    • For shalom bayit (peace in the home) for the Netanyahu family and an end to the scandals being stirred up by the Israeli media in recent months.

    • Give Benyamin Netanyahu creativity, plans, strategies and godly priorities for leading the nation in the coming days.

    • Surround Netanyahu with good counsel and give him wisdom to know whom to listen to and whom not to listen to.

    • Guard him against distractions and give him the resilience to pursue Your plans for the nation in the face of all who only want to criticize him.

    • Thank you for raising up Netanyahu for such a time as this. Give him grace to fulfill the calling You have for his life. (Esther 4:14)

  4. Syria. The terrible civil war in Syria includes Hezbollah supporting the government on one side and al-Qaeda among other radical groups among the rebel forces on the other side. Israel is well aware that such groups could any moment turn their attentions against us. There have been incidents around the Israel-Syria border, and, with the civil war fighting so close by, the IDF needs to be constantly on the alert. Pray:

    • That Israel would have excellent intelligence in order to know what our enemies are doing. Even that we may know the words spoken in the most secret places. (2 Kings 6:12)

    • That the IDF would give the right priority to the threats from Syria in deploying troops to the border and resources to intelligence-gathering.

    • Set Your angels to guard over our borders.

    • Inspire Israel's researchers to find ways to detect tunnels which are being built under the borders.

    • Give the IDF alertness and unity of purpose to protect the nation against kidnapping attempts.

  5. Iran. Recent experience suggests that America's foreign policy is based on planning to limit the power of a nuclear-armed Iran rather than preventing Iran getting a nuclear weapon. However, this suggests a lack of understanding that a regime motivated by Shia Islam would be willing to allow massive destruction to its own nation to create the conditions for the coming of the Mahdi. Iran would most likely be willing to use their nuclear weapon on Israel. Pray:

    • That Israel's leaders would recognize that Israel is most likely the only nation that would prevent Iran from making a nuclear weapon.

    • That Israel's leaders would know if God's plan is for Israel to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities.

    • For Prime Minister Netanyahu to communicate this effectively to his nation.

    • For courage in Israel's leadership to be willing to stand in the face of condemnation by the rest of the world.

    • For God to download His plans to the Israeli leadership, especially Prime Minister, Defense Ministry and leaders of the IDF.

    • For Israeli intelligence to supply information so Israel would know when and where it needs to strike.

    • For the weaponry to destroy Iran's evil weapons of destruction.

    • That at least some of the negotiators in the P5+1 talks with Iran would recognize that they are just giving Iran freedom to make a bomb which will be a threat to the whole world.

    • Give Israel's leaders understanding of Your times, O Lord (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8,17) and to know what Israel should do. (1 Chronicles 12:32)

  6. Ukraine. Whether or not Russian President Putin is planning to seize control in Ukraine, God's word is clear that His people need to come home to Israel. Whether there are only 70,000 Jews in Ukraine or maybe three times that number, it remains that they need to make Aliyah. Pray:

    • That the Jews in Ukraine will get a passion to come home to Israel.

    • May their eyes be opened to the consequences of staying behind in Ukraine.

    • Quicken their understanding that their true home is in Israel.

    • Send and equip the Jewish Agency and the various Christian agencies working to encourage Aliyah to go out and inform the Ukrainian Jews that they need to come home.

    • Stir up the authorities in Israel to get everything in place to bring the Ukrainian Jews home.

  7. The Body of Messiah in Israel. As the body of believers in Israel grows there are more events bringing them together from time to time. If the gathering is for praise and worship, hundreds of people may come. If the gathering is for prayer it is more likely to be a few dozen people. God's people need to understand their calling to pray.

    • Thank you, Lord, that Your people want to praise You and to worship You. Impress upon us that You also want us to pray.

    • Thank You for the freedom we have in Israel to gather together to pray.

    • Please give us stamina to keep standing in prayer.

    • Reveal to Your people the responsibility You give us to pray and the authority You give us to work in partnership with You through our prayers.

    • Equip us and call us to stand in the gap for our nation. (Ezekiel 22:30)

  8. Congregation meetings.

    • Anoint the leaders of the Body to preach Your pure word this weekend.

    • Lord, visit Your people as they meet together.

    • Let there be solid food served in the teaching and not just milk so that believers would grow in maturity. (Hebrews 5:12-14) Make Your people willing to grow and mature and "eat solid food".

    • Let prayer become more and more a part of what we do when we gather together! And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)

Shabbat Shalom!
