1. We began today by reading through Psalm 95.

    • Come, let us sing to YHWH; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and…with psalms. For YHWH is a great God, a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the strength of the hills is also His. The sea is His; He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before YHWH our maker, for He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart, as in…the day of testing in the wilderness, when your fathers tempted Me, tested Me, and saw My work. For forty years I was grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways; to whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest.

      Psalms 95:1-11
    • Lord, as we celebrate during Succot/Tabernacle Your keeping power of our ancestors in the wilderness, it is wonderful to recall that You were faithful - even when they were faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).

    • We call upon You Messiah - for You are worthy to be praised (Psalm 18:3).

    • Messiah Yeshua, we thank You for being the Rock of our Salvation (Psalm 118:22).

    • Hallelujah, that in Messiah Yeshua we have experienced God's promised rest (Hebrews 4:1-11).

    • We praise You Yeshua, the Living Word, who came and dwelt [tabernacled] with us (John 1:14).

  2. We prayed for the thousands of believers who have ascended to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Israel with various ministries. In a situation like this, there is always the danger of being so overwhelmed with teaching that things not of God can slip in. On the other hand, for those who were called to be here by the Lord, He wants to speak to them.

    • Abba, we bless You for the multitudes of Christians who have come to Israel for Succot.

    • We recognize this as a foreshadow of Messiah's millennium kingdom (Zechariah 14:16).

    • Lord, protect them - spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.

    • Yeshua, let Your sheep hear Your voice - and Your voice only (John 10:27).

    • Make them quick to discern voices that are not You (John 10:2-5).

    • Teach us to be led by You and not driven by others - even by our own desires (Psalm 23:1-3).

    • Impart Your discernment as they listen to various messages - to know what is from You and what is not.

    • Use this - Your physical land - to speak to Your people. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10)

    • Open the eyes of those visiting this land to the indigenous Messianic Body that You are building here.

  3. Multitudes of unsaved ['pre-believing'] Jews have also ascended to Jerusalem, in line with Your Word to celebrate this 'feast of ingathering' - before YHWH (Exodus 23:14-17).

    • Lord, speak to them by Your land. Cause them to fall in love with this - their inheritance (Isaiah 62:4-5; Deuteronomy 15:4; 19:10; 21:23).

    • Abba, draw them home by Your covenant-love. …I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel. (Jeremiah 31:3b-4a)

    • Open their eyes to see the freedom they have as Jews to celebrate openly here in Israel - as opposed to the danger many would face if they were to celebrate openly in exile - especially in Europe today.

    • Meet with many of them in the Succot [Booths] as they gather for meals and other times.

    • As they leave, cause many hearts to be torn with grief on having to go out from Zion (Psalm 137:1-6)!

    • Show Messianic Jews who are visiting Israel at this time - that this is their home (Isaiah 35:10; 51:11).

  4. There are some changes that will be made in the Israeli government after the feast. An example is that a new Interior Minister needs to be appointed. There will be other changes as well. With the current chaotic situation surrounding this nation, we need the right people appointed to the right positions.

    • Lord, raise up the sons of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32)

    • Give us a government ministers who have long-range plans as well as flexibility to face daily crises.

    • We bless You for the current government You have given Israel - especially Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon.

    • Increase their insight, vision and persistence in all things that are in line with Your will.

    • Lord, overrule so that the person of Your choice becomes the new Interior Minister (Daniel 4:25; 5:21).

    • May this person continue to clear out the stones of stumbling from the path of Your people - including Messianic believers - who are wanting to immigrate to Israel (Isaiah 62:10).

  5. A new IDF Chief of Staff needs to be appointed, as current CoS Gantz' term runs out early next year. This is a crucial decision. We prayed for the one whom God has anointed to be appointed.

    • Lord, we are reminded that in the affairs of man, You often overrule (Proverbs 19:21; Daniel 2:21).

    • Therefore, we ask that Your man will be the one whom Defense Minister Ya'alon picks.

    • May the Defense Minister and the Prime Minister be in one accord concerning the next CoS.

    • As we have seen in this past summer's war against Hamas, bring a quick unity and a deep trust between these three (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

    • Abba, raise up in all levels of the IDF the type of 'mighty men' as David had (2 Samuel 23:8a).

    • Lord, remove all political games and goals from IDF leaders.

  6. There was an attack along Israel's border with Lebanon this past week that injured two IDF soldiers. Hizbullah has taken responsibility for this attack. With what is happening just across the Syrian border from us, Israel needs to be super-alert concerning what is coming from the North.

    • God, we thank You that there were no deaths from this roadside bomb attack (Psalm 121:4).

    • Quicken the IDF soldiers along the northern border to be alert to any and all dangers.

    • Reveal any terror tunnels that Hizbullah might have built from Lebanon into Israel (Psalm 138:12).

    • Impart Your plans on how to respond to any further Hizbullah attacks - especially as Hizbullah is a part of the current Lebanese government (Joshua 5:13-6:5).

    • Show Israel where all of Hizbullah's rockets and weapons caches are located.

    • Thank You for the deep confusion You have sown into Israel's enemies' camps (Psalm 129:5).

    • Cut off the supply routes and communications between Hizbullah and Iran.

    • Put Your hook in the nose of Hizbullah's leaders - in particular Nasrallah - and draw them into the trap of Your making - either in Syria or by an Israeli response that is way beyond what they expected.

    • Because of your rage against Me, and your arrogance that I have heard, I will put My hook in your nose, My bridle in your lips, and will turn you back by the way which you came.

      Isaiah 37:29
    • In response to Israel's intercession [Joel 2:17], God says, Then YHWH will be jealous for His land and pity His people… And I will remove the northern army far from you, and will drive him into a barren and deserted land, with his face toward the eastern sea and his rear toward the western sea. And his stench shall come up, and his ill odor shall come up, because he was doing great things. Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice. For YHWH will do great things. (Joel 2:18, 20-21)

  7. We spent some time praying for the Kurdish people in Kobani who are facing an Islamic State [IS] onslaught - with the world doing very little to help. This is along Turkey's border and Turkey refuses to intervene as well. IS has proven to be absolutely ruthless and so our prayers were for the Kurdish army to either defeat this IS assault or for the Kurdish people to be rescued. We asked God to have mercy on the Kurds, reminding Him of the good relations the Kurtds and Jews have had through the centuries. I will bless them that bless you… (Genesis 12:3a)

  8. Iran: There was a huge explosion at a major Iranian military base at Parchin, a site that Israel believes is where nuclear weapons development is happening. Was it sabotage? Israel has not said a word. Was it an accident? Iran has not said much either. Either way, it has shaken up the Iranian military, and for that we thank God.

    • Lord, if in fact there has been nuclear weapons development at this site, and radioactivity has escaped into the air, let someone get a sample and present it to the world.

    • May the IAEA, the UN's arm to deal with nuclear dangers, insist on visiting this site now.

    • Use this to halt any further weakening of sanctions on Iran.

    • Give backbone to the P5+1 nations as they continue to make no progress in negotiations with Iran concerning Iran's nuclear program.

    • Abba, deal with this wicked regime that wants to wipe Israel off the map (Psalm 83:1-18).

    • Lord, we bless You for the reports of an increase in Iranian salvations (Jeremiah 49:38:a).

    • Impart to this growing Iranian Church a love for Your people Israel and a steadfastness in standing in the gap for their nation that has been cursing Your nation for the past 35 years (Numbers 23: 8; 24:9a)!

    • If Israel needs to deal with this militarily, prepare all the various arms of the IDF to do the jobs assigned to them - the Air Force, the Navy, the Special Forces, etc.

    • Your timing, Lord. And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the trees, then strike. For then YHWH shall go out before you to strike the Philistine army. (2 Samuel 5:24)

    • We thank You for this explosion! Use it to increase the paranoia of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

    • May the pressure of the IS advances (who are extremely anti-Shiite, thus anti-Iran) and this explosion cause Iran's leaders to make major geo-political mistakes.

    • If in fact Israel is responsible for this explosion, let it be known to those in Iran who need to know.

    • Use it to replace the hatred of Israel with the fear of Israel. In the morning…YHWH looked upon the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the army of the Egyptians. He took off their chariot wheels, and made them go heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for YHWH fights for them against the Egyptians. (Exodus 14:24-25)

  9. Aliyah - the immigration of Jews from exile to home. This is a major end-time move of God and so we constantly keep it on our radar for intercession.

    • Thank You God, for the increase in aliyah over the past 12 months, especially from France and Ukraine.

    • Draw all new immigrants closer to Yeshua this coming year (Zechariah 12:10).

    • Root them in this land during Succot.

    • Whatever it will take to wake up the Jews in North America, with as much mercy as possible, do it Lord.

    • Raise up the voices of warning to Jews who are dilly-dallying in exile where the ground is beginning to burn under their feet.

    • Open their eyes to see the release of the hunters: Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says YHWH, and they will fish them. And afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. (Jeremiah 16:16)

    • Thank You for Christians who are helping to carry Your people back home in line with Isaiah 49:22.

    • Lord, deal with any Christians who resist what You are doing here with all of Your heart and soul (Jeremiah 32:41-42), and set them free from their politically-correct, social-justice, humanistic attitudes.

    • Open their eyes to Your Word (Psalm 119:18, 105, 130).

    • Abba, set the 25,000 Jews in Iran free to return to Zion.

    • Do the same with the small Turkish Jewish community.

    • Open wide the doors in Israel to receive all who return - regardless of what they believe (Isaiah 62:10).

  10. We ended with interceding for the local Israeli Body.

    • Thank You Lord, for the growing, maturing, Body of Messiah in Israel.

    • Lord, protect us at this time when so many different voices from the nations come up to Jerusalem.

    • Give us ears to hear You and You alone.

    • Make us like the Berean Jews who received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so. (Acts 17:11)

    • Use the believers in the IDF to be salt and light to those they serve with (Matthew 5:13-16).

    • We are believing You for a huge increase in the Body of Messiah in Israel this year (1 Corinthians 3:6).

    • Bless our Arab brothers and sisters in Israel - those who truly are born from above.

    • If any of them are deceived by Palestinian Liberation theory, please Lord, set them free.
