1. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet have been standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem! Jerusalem is built As a city that is compact together, Where the tribes go up, The tribes of the Lord, To the Testimony of Israel, To give thanks to the name of the Lord. For thrones are set there for judgment, The thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, Peace be within you. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.

    Psalm 122
    • We thank and praise You that we can call You our Father, that You are in the midst of us when even two or three are gathered together (Matthew 18:20), that You are faithful and always responding to our prayers, that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4), that You prosper those who truly love Jerusalem.

    • Hodu l'Adonai ki tov, ki le'olam chasdo - Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)

    • Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lord. For He is glorious and worthy to be praised, the Lamb upon the throne!

  2. Binyamin Netanyahu - Early next week the Prime Minister is due to travel to Washington for talks with President Barak Obama. The relationship between the two leaders has been cold, particularly with regard to the Iran deal. Part of their agenda is expected to be the military aid offered by the USA to Israel over the coming years. Netanyahu needs to speak truth with authority, not to bow to pressure allowing Obama to "buy" his support with military aid. We have prayed over the years that all ungodly dependence on the USA would be broken.

    • Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!

      Isaiah 31:1
    • Speak to Mr Netanyahu so he will know what to say. May he not be afraid to speak Your word. Prepare him, protect him and his family, his household, his office. Give wisdom to his advisors. May he speak with integrity.

    • Give him a tender heart toward You and firm confidence in his understanding of what Israel needs. Strengthen him with Your righteous right hand. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

    • Take away all fear of man and may the fear of the Lord be upon both Netanyahu and Obama in their meeting. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Proverbs 9:10). Send the angel of the Lord to be present in their meeting and make both aware of Him.

    • Let both men be aware that Your hand is on Netanyahu and You have anointed him as leader of Israel for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).

  3. Terror in Israel - Over the past month it seems that no day has gone by without some new attack. There is a rampant bloodlust and a spirit of suicide. In the UN this week the outrageous accusation was made by the Palestinians that Israel has been harvesting body parts from the dead bodies of terrorists taken out by Israel in the act of seeking to kill Jews. This is simply the latest regurgitation of the traditional blood libel leveled for centuries against the Jews.

    • In my distress I cried to the Lord, and He heard me. Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue.

      Psalm 120:1-2
    • My soul has dwelt too long with one who hates peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

      Psalm 120:6-7
    • For truth is fallen in the street

      Isaiah 59:14
    • Reveal the truth and raise up lovers of the truth. Expose the lies of Your enemies.

    • Pray for those who have been wounded in body, soul or spirit, including witnesses of attacks, family members, those, both Jew and Arab, who are traumatized by fear, for the balm of Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22) upon the open wound in this nation. Pray too for the protection of those serving in the security forces seeking to maintain calm and made a walking target for terrorists.

    • You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.

      Psalm 91:5
    • But You, O Lord, are a shield for me.

      Psalm 3:3
    • Please give us a day without any attacks!

    • Like birds flying about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it.

      Isaiah 31:5
    • We look to You, Lord to bring good out of this situation. Triumph over the plans of the enemy with Your love!

  4. Northern Border - Syria/Lebanon - the more visible and active involvement of Russia in the area appears to change everything. We need to seek the Lord's wisdom (James 1:5) to direct our prayers.

    • Thank You, Lord that Israel's enemies have continued to be occupied with fighting each other so they have little strength or will to fight Israel.

    • Keep Hezbollah deeply involved in Syria.

    • Keep Israel alert, firm and strong against anything which threatens us. Give wisdom and unity to Israel's leaders especially Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon.

    • Pray too for the alertness and strength of the soldiers and intelligence personnel.

    • Reveal to Israel the plans of the enemy as You did through the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 6:12).

    • No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me," says the Lord.

      Isaiah 54:17
  5. Iran - Even following the deal, Iran is doing nothing to fulfil their side of the agreement. There is no proof that they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Even former President Rafsanjani has admitted that Iran has pursued a nuclear weapon in the past. It seems that the nations of the world are so obsessed with the business they can do with Iran that they refuse to see even when their own deal is being violated. They are not willing to impose on Iran the consequences implied by the deal.

    • Raise up lovers of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10) and let the truth be proclaimed from the housetops!

    • The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid, their own foot is caught.

      Psalm 9:15
    • Cause Iran to overreach. Destroy their evil plans.

    • For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

      Isaiah 55:9
    • You are in control, o Lord!

  6. Rain - We give thanks for the abundant rain which has fallen in recent days.

    • Thank You, Lord that You care for Your land. So they will say, This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. (Ezekiel 36:35)

    • Pray for an abundant, wet winter, for the filling of the Sea of Galilee and all other reservoirs, for safety on the roads, for rainfall which will be steady and avoid causing flooding.

  7. Salvation of Israel

    • Remove the veil that is over the eyes of the Jewish people, When one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. (2 Corinthians 3:16)

    • For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord…

      Jeremiah 29:11-14
    • Draw Your people to Yourself. Cause them to seek You that You will be found by them.

    • Give Your people a real hunger for the living word of God. Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. (Amos 8:11)

    • Make this a time of harvest. Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! (John 4:35)

    • Pray specifically for the salvation of groups of the Israeli population, eg teachers and children, soldiers, those praying at the Western Wall, families sitting down to celebrate Shabbat, Holocaust survivors, etc.

    • Open the eyes of their hearts, Lord. Lord may they see You!

  8. Kehilot (Congregations) - there are Messianic congregations in almost every town and city around Israel.

    • Let Your word be preached and Your people fed with the word, meat as well as milk.

    • Pour out Your Holy Spirit of truth and light and miracles and healings.

    • By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

      John 13:35
  9. Pray too for Chuck Cohen as he is ministering in the USA, for freshness in the word he brings and for those who hear him to be eager to receive the word and live it.

Shabbat Shalom from the IFI team!
