1. I will extol You, O Lord,
for You have lifted me up,
And have not let my foes rejoice over me.
O Lord my God, I cried out to You,
    And You healed me.O Lord,
    You brought my soul up from the grave;
You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment,
    His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.

    Psalm 30:1-5
    • You are faithful, O Lord and know the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:10)

    • Your steadfast love never changes.

    • Let us enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. (Psalm 100:4)

    • Thank You for being our hiding place. (Psalm 32:7)

    • We rejoice in Your salvation. (1 Samuel 2:1)

    • Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?

      Psalm 30:9
    • I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised…

      2 Samuel 22:4
    • “For You alone are high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods. We exalt You, o Lord.”

  2. Syria

the security situation beyond Israel’s Northern border has become even more complex with the activity of Turkish forces inside Syria. There are so many different groups and nations fighting in the region with their own interests and goals. Israel is mostly sitting and watching and needs great wisdom from the Lord to know what to do.
    • Give Israel accurate intelligence to know what is going on.

    • Keep Israel’s intelligence gatherers hidden and give them eyes to see everything they need to see.

    • Reveal the truth.

    • Keep Israel’s leaders in unity, especially Binyamin Netanyahu, Avigdor Liberman and Gadi Eizenkott, and give them the wisdom of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do… (1 Chronicles 12:32)

    • Give them clearly agreed red lines and the willingness to act when those lines are crossed.

  3. Turkey and the Kurds

Turkey’s main reason for acting in Syria is because they want to destroy the Kurds and their hopes to establish their own nation. While this is unlikely to happen, it would be a good thing for Israel, as the Kurds have long been friends of Israel.
    • Lord, give favor to the Kurdish people and bless them, even with their own nation if it is Your will. Do a miracle and bless those who bless Your people. (Genesis 12:3)

    • Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion.

      Zechariah 7:9
    • Let Turkey’s attempts to destroy the Kurds be turned back on their own heads.

    • His trouble shall return upon his own head.

      Psalm 7:16
    • Bless the Kurds with the knowledge of Yeshua.

  4. Palestinian Elections

Local Elections are due on 8th October which could have a major impact on the Palestinian areas and on the whole of Israel. Last time elections were held Hamas won convincingly, revealing much about the true heart of the Palestinian people.
    • Help Israel’s security services know how to prepare for and how to respond to these elections. Help them prepare for likely unrest and enable them to contain the possible violence. Anoint the intelligence services.

    • Restrain the media. Prevent them from fanning the flames of unrest as they are on the lookout for conflict.

    • Reveal the true face of the Palestinian cause.

    • Place Your hand of protection over the whole situation. You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. (Psalm 89:13)

    • Save the Palestinian people.

  5. Strategic alliances in the Middle East

One of the outcomes of the Obama Presidency has been the USA turning towards Iran and away from her traditional allies Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Sunni Arab nations. As a result some of these Arab nations have been seeing the need to cooperate with Israel in order to maintain stability in the region.
    • Lord, increase the cooperation between these nations and Israel. Even if they are not our friends, let them work together with us out of common interests. Thank You that this is already happening more and more.

    • Use the young Saudi Defense Minister to continue to develop a working relationship with Israel.

    • Egypt and Jordan have long-standing official relations with Israel. Cause real changes in attitudes throughout society, notably in schools, recognizing Israel as a friend rather than an enemy.

    • Bring Your revelation to the believers in these nations, so they would recognize Your purposes for Israel and pray for their own nations to bless Israel.

    • Bless these nations, Lord, as they bless Your nation. I will bless those who bless you. (Genesis 12:3)

  6. Islamic immigration in Europe

The wave of immigration continues and the nations of Europe seem to have no clue how to cope with it. Eg. France seems to be most worried about the swimwear worn by Muslim women at the beach! While this response seems ridiculous, most other nations appear oblivious to the possible consequences of the Islamic invasion – eg the demographics which suggest that Europe will in due time become an Islamic continent.
    • Give Your Church insight to see what is happening, to know how to pray for their nations and to speak out the truth.

    • Let Your people take this change as a huge opportunity for evangelism and be ready to teach the whole counsel of God including the importance of Israel.

    • Give the nations of Europe wisdom to filter out the radicals from among the multitudes of immigrants.

    • Use this change to revive Your Church across Europe. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

  7. US Elections

Even with declining American influence in the world and rising international influence of Russia and China, the result of the coming Presidential election will have a great impact. The lack of a strong convincing candidate looks like a judgment upon America. Pray for God’s person to be chosen.
    1. Lord, if this is Your judgment, O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy. (Habakkuk 3:2)

    2. Stir up Your Church to take up her responsibility to pray and to turn out and vote.

    3. May Your people see clearly despite the confusion created by the lies of the media.

    4. Wake up the Jews in America and prompt them to come home.

  8. Russia

With increasing involvement in Syria and elsewhere, President Putin is also offering Russian protection and investment to help develop Israel’s natural gas resources. He is clearly seeking to establish world domination as communism sought to do in the past.
    • Lord, give Prime Minister Netanyahu wisdom and discernment. Thank you for the relationship he has with Putin, but may he not be deceived. May he be as gentle as a dove but as wise as a serpent. (Matthew 10:16)

    • Give him wise counsellors. Use Avigdor Liberman’s understanding of the Russian mind.

  9. Israeli Gas Development

It remains a wonderful God-given opportunity for Israel to develop energy independence through exploiting its gas reserves.
    • May Israel move forward quickly with this opportunity.

    • Thank You for this wonderful gift. Help Israel to be a wise steward of the gift You have given.

    • Let good plans be put in place even now for the wise use of the extra revenues which will come from this resource. Protect the whole process from corruption and greed.

    • Give Israel wisdom regarding the necessary security for these off-shore extraction platforms.

  10. Chuck in the USA

Chuck left recently for 3 weeks of ministry in North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama (see IFI events page)
    • Abba, Father watch over him and use him as a channel for Your truth.

  11. Shabbat Shalom

    • A peaceful Shabbat to us all and, Lord, bless all those on guard this Shabbat, watching over this nation in order that we and Your people everywhere may enjoy our rest in You!
