1. Praise the Lord!

Praise, O servants of the Lord,

Praise the name of the Lord!

Blessed be the name of the Lord

From this time forth and forevermore!

From the rising of the sun to its going down

The Lord’s name is to be praised.

The Lord is high above all nations,

    His glory above the heavens.

Who is like the Lord our God,

    Who dwells on high.

    Psalm 113:1-5
    • Thank You that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

    • Thank You that the sun rises and goes down the same day by day.

    • Thank You for the privilege of being in Jerusalem, the City of the Great King!

    • We bless You for Your unchanging word.

    • You are the most high God, yet You humbled Yourself to dwell with us. (Hebrews 2:7)

    • You have revealed Yourself as the God of Israel.

    • You have made a way for us to have fellowship with You.

    • For Thou o Lord art high above all the earth. Thou art exalted far above all gods. (Psalm 97:9) We exalt Thee, o Lord!

  2. Suicide on video

this week a video was posted on Youtube of a young Palestinian woman being shot by Israeli border police. The video gave only the appearance that the terrorist was on the ground and the troops were shooting, but nothing of her approach, nor the warnings given, nor her wielding a knife. It is clearly a set up and appears to have been staged for maximum anti-Israel impact.

    • Lord, give Israel’s leaders wisdom in how to respond to this and similar incidents.

    • Give wisdom and words to Israel’s spokespeople throughout the world.

    • For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

      2 Corinthians 10:14
    • Expose the source of this video.

    • Overrule and hedge-in the enemy seeking to delegitimize Israel.

    • Restore the role of the media as an instrument for revealing truth rather than being an instrument of warfare or manipulation.

  3. Syria

Russia is sending its Northern fleet to the Mediterranean in a strong show of support for President Assad’s regime. Turkey is fighting the Kurds who are basically supportive of Israel but seem unable to unite among themselves in order to be able to form their own state. Defeat of Assad may be the way to break up the Shi’ite alliance of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. Meanwhile, millions of innocent people are suffering terribly.

    • Lord, give us wisdom how to pray so that Your will will be done in this region.

    • Give Israel’s leaders wisdom to know what to do, when to act and when to refrain from acting. May they receive accurate intelligence and have discernment in understanding it.

    • As a student of History, help Bibi Netanyahu to understand the lessons of History.

    • Give excellent communications and understanding between Israel’s leaders, especially Netanyahu, Minister of Diplomacy, Michael Oren and new Director General of the Foreign Ministry, Yuval Rotem.

    • Make Israel’s leaders like, …the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32)

    • Turn back any hostility toward Israel.

    • Break the Shi’ite alliance between Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

    • Destroy the ambitions of Turkish President Erdogan.

    • Give the Kurds their own state.

    • Have mercy, Lord, upon all the innocents suffering in the midst of this horrible conflict.

    • Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

      Matthew 19:14
    • Strengthen, protect and anoint all Your people who are laboring in these lands. May Your word be a source of hope to the hopeless and a source of mercy where there is no mercy.

    • Let the sacrifice of martyrs, who are laying down their lives for You in these days, not be in vain!

  4. Salvation of Israel

The Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) is a reminder of the transience of life as the Jewish people are instructed to dwell in temporary shelters for eight days in the year.

    • Meet with the people of Israel during this season as they spend time in their sukkot (booths) and their normal routine is disrupted. Give them ears to hear Your voice.

    • Reveal Yourself to them as Yeshua, their Messiah.

    • As they celebrate the harvest of the land at this time, bring in a harvest of souls.

    • May Your people who know Yeshua be good representatives of You. Embolden us to reflect Your light and not to be ashamed to confess Yeshua.

    • For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

      Romans 1:16
    • On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

      John 7:37-38
    • Lord, as these words tell of the feast of Sukkot, pour out Your rivers of living water on Your people even this year!

  5. UNESCO resolution

the anti-Israel resolution in UNESCO which we prayed about last week was voted on again this week with little change in the outcome. This may encourage further United Nations activity in the coming weeks and months, possibly encouraging US President Obama to end his term as President with some further anti-Israel move.

    • Lord, please hedge Obama in so that he will not seek to exert his authority in any anti-Israel move in the UN or elsewhere.

    • There has been a history of American presidents acting against Israel at the end of their term of office. Protect Obama and America from such action.

    • Keep Israel’s enemies divided among themselves so they are unable to put together further anti-Israel motions.

    • Anoint Israel’s UN Ambassador, Danny Danon and give him great wisdom and protection.

    • Expose the lies and hypocrisy which causes nations to act and vote against Israel according to political convenience rather than according to historical facts.

    • In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.

      2 Chronicles 33:7
  6. Amona settlement

a long-standing row is coming to a head in the face of a Supreme Court decision to force the evacuation of Amona, a 20-year old settlement in the Samaria region. Many in the government are speaking out against this court ruling, and the residents themselves are saying they will not leave voluntarily.

    • Give wisdom and unity to the government regarding this decision.

    • Enable them to find a righteous solution which will not involve uprooting Jewish people from homes they have built on the land You gave them.

    • May Your will be known and Your will be done.

    • They shall come trembling like a bird from Egypt, like a dove from the land of Assyria. And I will let them dwell in their houses,” says the Lord.

      Hosea 11:11
  7. Rain

this is the season when the early rains are due.

    • See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

      James 5:7
    • Please send soft and gentle rains on Your land to nourish and water without destroying the crops which have yet to be harvested.

    • Cause the rains to fall especially in the areas where they are most needed – in the Galilee, on the Golan Heights, even so that the Dead Sea may rise and the area around it be restored.

  8. Congregations in Israel

    • Thank You, Lord that we have a growing Body of Messiah in Israel. Bring Your refreshing life during this season of Sukkot.

    • Make the kehilot ( congregations) places of healing of body, soul and spirit.

    • Give wisdom to the shepherds to feed their flocks according to their needs and discernment to recognize and warn the flock against wrong teaching.

    • Show us what it means to be Your body and be glorified in us.

    • The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid.

      Zephaniah 3:13
  9. Chuck Cohen in Germany

IFI director Chuck Cohen is at the end of an intense time of prayer around the cities of Germany where most Jews live. This prayer assignment is in association with IFI – Deutschland and Ebenezer Deutschland.

    • Lord give Your strength and protection to Chuck and this prayer team as they complete Your assignment.

    • May nothing be left un-prayed which You have asked from them.

    • Bring Chuck safely home to Jerusalem and refresh him.

And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 35:10
