1. It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

    And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;

To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,

    And Your faithfulness every night,

On an instrument of ten strings,

    On the lute,

    And on the harp,

    With harmonious sound.

    For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;

I will triumph in the works of Your hands.

O Lord, how great are Your works!

    Your thoughts are very deep.

    Psalm 92:1-5
    • Thank You, Lord that You put down Your enemies. (Psalm 92:9)

    • Great is Your faithfulness – You never change. (Lamentations 3:23)

    • You are our rock. I will say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? (Psalm 42:9)

    • He will not leave you nor forsake you.

      Deuteronomy 31:6
    • Thank You for Your wonderful love!

  2. Security on Israel’s Northern Border – With the defeat of ISIS in Rakka, Syria has come a scattering of ISIS forces to various other places including the Golan Heights close to Israel. The IDF continues to respond swiftly to any weapon fire coming into Israel and has done so again on occasions in recent days.

    • Guard and protect our borders and give Israel’s leaders wisdom to know what to do. May they know the Lord’s strategies regarding deployment of our forces, when and how to respond.

    • Give alertness to all our soldiers as they are standing in the gap on behalf of the nation. Guard them and protect them from every attempt at kidnapping.

    • Keep Israel’s spies hidden and anoint them for quick and accurate information about everything our enemies are planning to do.

Iran’s influence is strengthening in Syria and Hezbollah (Iran’s proxy) is increasing its authority in Lebanon. Meanwhile, the American administration is moving towards pushing back the 2015 international agreement made over Iran’s nuclear program.

    • You, Lord are a strong tower, resist and drive back Iran as she grows in power on Israel’s borders!

    • For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

      Psalm 61:3
    • Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after my life; Let those be turned back and brought to confusion who plot my hurt.

      Psalm 35:4
    • Bring confusion to the enemies of Israel, even as Iran appears to be tightening its grip on the entire region.

    • Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.

      Psalm 91:9-10
    • Give strength to the Americans to follow through on their moves to cancel the Iran nuclear agreement. May they not cave in to pressure from the rest of the world!

    • Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the foremost of their might…I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger, says the Lord; and I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.

      Jeremiah 49:35,37
    • You are the Lord of hosts. Show Your power O Lord!

  3. The Kurds – The people in the Kurdish area of Iraq recently voted overwhelmingly in favor of the creation of an independent Kurdistan. The central government of Iraq (backed by Iran) has moved against the Kurds, resulting in a withdrawal from some of the territory they were holding. All the other nations oppose an independent Kurdistan, while Israel has openly supported the Kurds.

    • Lord, bless the Kurds with their own nation. As they have supported Israel bless them according to Your promise, I will bless those who bless you. (Genesis 12:3)

    • Use the Kurds, even an independent Kurdistan, if You will, to be the counterbalance to the power of Iran which now seems to be lacking in the region.

    • The Kurds have been hindered by their own internal squabbling – bring them into unity, Lord!

  4. Israel’s leaders and ambassadors – Israel often appears so alone in the world and faced by opposition from the nations on every side. We have representatives around the world in many nations and international forums and need to pray that they will be anointed to speak truth in the face of constant opposition and abuse.

    • Lord, these men and women represent Israel, and in a sense, as You are the God of Israel, they represent You. Give them anointing and power and the words to speak even when they are always swimming against the tide of evil.

    • Empower these servants with words of truth. (Proverbs 22:21)

    • Strengthen all these representatives of Israel, Binyamin Netanyahu, Danny Danon (Ambassador in UN), Ron Dermer (Ambassador to the US), Mark Regev (Ambassador to UK), etc., etc.

  5. Haredi demonstrations – In recent days there have been demonstrations around Israel and particularly in Jerusalem by the ultra-Orthodox Jewish (haredi) community against the requirement that they serve in the IDF.

    • Thank you, Lord for those haredi young people who DO seek to serve in the IDF and do so despite the opposition and even violent abuse from their community. Bless them and protect them.

    • Break this totally unbiblical attitude among these religious Jews and reveal to them who You truly are.

    • Break down the divide in Israeli society between the ultra-Orthodox and the secular. Take away the “us” and “them”, so “they” become part of “us”.

    • Restore shalom to Your city, Jerusalem.

    • Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her;… Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river…So I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

from Isaiah 66:10-13 in this week’s prophetic reading
  6. Rain

    • I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

      Isaiah 41:18
    • Pour out rain and water this dry and thirsty land!

    • Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

      Proverbs 3:5-6
    • Cause the people of Israel to humble themselves and seek You recognizing that we depend totally on You to provide the water.

    • Open the heavens and let it rain! The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

    • You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it.  You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth. You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.  They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.

      Psalm 65:9-13
  7. IFI – Eliyahu’s health continues to improve slowly. Please continue to pray, especially as we are moving towards the next conference in January.

    • Chuck is away ministering in the USA and then spends time in Germany before returning home to Israel.

    • Please pray for them and also for our preparations for the January prayer conference, and that the Lord will speak to everyone He wants to come to join us in intercession here in Jerusalem.

Shabbat Shalom!

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming

Matthew 24:42
