1. Praise:

There are periods of history when God is "quiet" – when He works almost exclusively behind the scenes. And then there are periods when He actively fulfills His Word and for believers they are both exciting and fearful times. We are in a time like that. God is restoring Israel and judging nations based mostly on how they touch the apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8). What a privilege to be alive today and what a responsibility to intercede in line with His will so that as we co-labor with Him, we can have a part in ushering in His kingdom on earth (Luke 11:2).

    • You have chosen us for this time and we praise You for that and give You the glory (Est. 4:14b).

    • We bless You for Your Word which helps us to pray in line with Your will (Psa. 36:9; 119:130).

    • In these dark days, we thank You Lord Yeshua that You are still the Light of the world (John 8:12).

    • Without You, we know that we can do nothing worthy for Your kingdom's sake (John 15:5), yet we also know, and praise You, that we can do all things through You who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13).

    • Thank You Lord Yeshua that Your words will endure for all eternity (Luke 21:33).

    • We rejoice that true righteousness, goodness and mercy are found in You (Psa. 33:5).

    • Hallelujah! We are witnessing Your zeal at work as You restore Jerusalem (Zech. 8:1-8).

    • Thank You that You say to Israel – and to those of us grafted into Your nation, The eternal God is your refuge [+habitation], and underneath are His everlasting arms. (Deut. 33:27).

    • It is eye-opening to see that when You initially chose Abraham, You already had the salvation of the gentiles in mind through the creation of Your elect nation and people (Gen. 12:3; cp. Gal. 3:8).

    • We take comfort in the truth that You guard over Israel – and us – continually (Psa. 121:3-4).

  2. Government:

We continue to pray for God to lead Israel's government to achieve all that He wants, while blocking it from doing all that is not in line with His will. We also pray that in His mercy He will stop Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid from taking over as prime minister.

    • Lord Yeshua, we declare that You are Israel's King and we ask for Your rule to be manifest in the midst of every Israeli government – especially at this time (Isa. 9:6-7; 33:22).

    • Let the government accomplish only Your will and prevent it from doing anything else (Isa. 46:10).

    • Divide Your foes in the government, but unify all those with a heart to do Your will (Psa. 133:1).

    • Deal with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, turning him back to the mindset he had before his betrayal of those who voted for him and his compromise in order to become Israel's leader (Psa. 51:1-4).

    • Abba, give wisdom to deal with the crisis in Israel's medical system, as people work long hours and with the added battle against coronavirus, many are worn out. Have mercy and use the new budget to release all the funding needed to rectify this situation (Psa. 50:10-15).

    • Bring to fulfillment the current plan of recruiting new immigrants who are medical professionals to the workplace without all of Israel's bureaucratic roadblocks (Isa. 57:14).

    • Lord, please guide all of Israel's thinking and planning when dealing with coronavirus (Psa. 32:8-9).

    • Concerning the virus, show the authorities how to balance personal liberty with the government's obligation to protect the people (2 Sam. 23:3).

    • As the budget needs to be passed before mid-November, God use it to bring this government down or make it a budget that miraculously uses Israel's wealth in a righteous manner (Prov. 14:34).

    • Hedge in Ra'am, the Israeli-Arab party from dragging the government further away from Your will.

    • In mercy, prevent Lapid from becoming Israel's next prime minister in August 2023 (Psa. 75:5-7).

  3. Security – internal:

It is very sad to see that today Israel's most dangerous internal enemy is President Biden's US administration and his State Department. Both pressure Israel to divide God's land and His city in order that a Jew-hating, terrorist-exalting Palestinian State can be created. The EU and the UN are no better – pushing for the same goal. All of them are under God's judgment today because of these policies, yet neither their leaders, nor most of the Church sees this (Joel 3:1-2).

    • As the political attacks against Israel increase on every side, we recall Psalm 2, and thank You Lord, that You are not panicking but are mocking the global entities who are coming against Your Anointed One, the King of the Jews, as well as Your anointed people, Israel (Psa. 105:15).

    • Forbid Israel from ever voluntarily dividing Jerusalem or Your land (Lev. 25:23; 2 Chr. 12:13).

    • Make every right wing coalition member fearful of any compromise over these issues (Deut. 6:1-2).

    • Lord, use the West's unbiblical policies to pressure Israel to extend its sovereignty over all of the land You promised it – which today is at least all of the land west of the Jordan River (Psa. 125:3).

    • Let Israel expand its "tent pegs" and build up both the E1 corridor east of Jerusalem and the Givat HaMatos suburb in the south of the city of the Great King (Psa. 48:1-2, 8; Isa. 54:2).

    • It is great to hear of the government's plans to double the number of Israelis living in the Jordan Valley, as well as to quadruple the number of Israelis living on the Golan Heights. Aid them to do what they say – sooner rather than later, or never (2 Chr. 14:7).

    • Strengthen Israel's government to resist all American pressure to reopen a Jerusalem consulate for the Palestinians – which in effect would re-divide this city (Neh. 2:20).

    • Arrange it so that none of America's anti-God plans for Your land come to pass (Psa. 33:10-11).

    • Let Israel strongly and openly confront the EU as it continues to pay for and encourage many of the illegal activities done in the land by the Palestinian Authority [PA] (Prov. 11:21; 24:24).

    • Drain the finances of all nations who are supporting the PA's anti-Israel activities (Num. 24:9b).

    • Thank You that Israel's UN Ambassador Erdan confronted the UN Security Council with their Israel obsession and that the US Ambassador openly stood with him.

    • Show the Church in the West that judgment is on their nations according to how their nations resist – as opposed to helping with – God's total restoration of Israel today (Isa. 60:12).

    • Thank You for the many Christians who do pray about their nations anti-God policies towards Israel. As some are frustrated, wondering what to do next, Lord, show them that what they are doing is more vital and effective than anything else they can do – and encourage them to persist in prayer unless and until You direct them otherwise (2 Kin. 13:17-19; Psa. 50:15; Luke 18:1; John 15:16; 1 John 5:14-15).

    • Build Your church among the Palestinians and use them for Your glory (Matt. 16:18).

    • Save many Palestinians before Your fierce judgment falls (Jer. 12:14-17; Acts 1:8; 2 Thess. 1:12).

  4. Security – internal:

We continue to pray for the IDF and Israel's other security forces.

    • We rejoice to see the literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 37:10 over these past 70 plus years.

    • Lord, be a shield around all of Israel's soldiers and other security forces– physically, emotionally, health-wise and mentally – and reveal to many that it is You who are protecting them (Psa. 3:3).

    • Please guard Israel's soldiers from all spiritual attacks against them as well (Eph. 6:18).

    • Use the Messianic believers in the IDF to impact their units deeply (Luke 13:20-21; Gal. 5:9).

    • When discouraged, remind them of this verse: Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you upset in me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His presence. (Psa. 42:5, 11)

    • Provide accurate actionable intelligence to the IDF daily (Obad. 1:6).

    • Impart heavenly-guided wisdom to know what to do with this intelligence information (Prov. 21:31).

    • Give Israel the edge in cyberwarfare as attacks against it have recently increased (Psa. 44:3-4).

    • Enable Israel to turn the cyberattacks back on the heads of the perpetrators (Psa. 7:15).

    • Lord, watch over the next budget so that it supplies all of the IDF's financial needs.

    • Anoint the Israeli police to be able to do their job righteously and justly (Eccl. 8:11).

  5. Security – external:

The focus of what we intercede about concerning security threats coming from outside of Israel is in one way or another linked to Iran's current regime. The situation in Lebanon is ripe for an all-out civil war – thanks to Iran's main proxy, Hizbullah. While a civil war would weaken Hizbullah, Israel would be blamed just like it has already been blamed – by Iran and some Lebanese – for the deadly shootings against a Hizbullah demonstration just last week.

    1. Lebanon:

      • Abba, have mercy on the Lebanese and remove Hizbullah from ruling over them (Isa. 2:11-13).

      • Cause Hizbullah's hierarchy to implode by creating an internal civil war (Mark 3:25).

      • Pull the rug out from under Hizbullah suddenly – destroying all of their foundations (Jer. 51:8).

      • Send spirits of division and paranoia into all of Hizbullah's ranks, as well as between Hizbullah's leaders and Iran's leaders (Psa. 55:9; 129:5).

      • If Israel needs to pre-empt Hizbullah, Lord guide it concerning timing and tactics (Josh. 5:13-6:5).

      • Lord God, save some of the worst of Hizbullah's terrorists – including some of their leaders – and then turn them into Christian Zionists who will provoke Your people to jealousy (Rom. 11:11).

    2. Iran:

      • We thank You that we see Iran's political system weakening and its church growing, yet the Shi'ite regime still clings to power, so again, we ask You to fulfill Your word, I will set My throne in Elam [ancient Iran], and will destroy from there the king and the princes… (Jer. 49:38).

      • Let envy grow between many of Iran's top leaders – political and military (Prov. 27:4).

      • With Israel openly frustrated over the lackadaisical response of America to Iran's development of nuclear weapons, Lord guide Israel in all of its decisions on how to stop this threat (Psa. 44:4; 89:18).

      • Erase from Israel's leaders any idea that they need to ask America for permission before they act in defense of Your nation (Psa. 118:8-9; Isa. 31:1).

      • Move on the IDF and the government to act according to Your will and Your timing (Deut. 31:7-8).

      • Impart to the IDF's Iran Command out-of-the-ordinary plans to stop Iran (Josh. 10:10-11).

      • If Israel attacks Iran's nuclear facilities, let there be a commitment to achieve total destruction and forbid the IDF from stopping before that goal is accomplished or because of the invariable pressure from the nations (Psa. 35:8; Isa. 13;6).

      • When considering the Iranian overall threat, do not let Israel shy away from striking the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] – who in many ways are the ones who run much of Iran.

      • Thank You for the extra finances Israel has dedicated to its war against Iran – yet we look to You and not to the finances or the equipment or anything else to protect this nation (Psa. 20:7-9).

      • Prepare Israel for the day after the attack – politically and security-wise (Prov. 24:6).

      • Bless and use Your Body in Iran, whom You have brought from darkness into the light (Isa. 9:2).

      • Let them be salt and light to other Iranians (Matt. 5:13-16), and may You protect and hide them from the Islamic authorities who rule their nation and hate them (Psa. 143:9).

  6. Aliyah:

The increase of Jews returning to Israel so far this past year is a great encouragement to us – and we hope to you as well. Yet we say, "More, Lord!" as we know that there is coming a day when not one of God's people will remain alive in exile (Ezek. 39:28).

    • Tear up the roots of all Jewish communities in exile through them seeing the recent increase of anti-Semitic attacks (Jer. 16:16).

    • As we read in Shabbat's Torah portion, Lord send Your angels to drag Your people out of today's Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19:15-16).

    • Respond to Iran's threat against its Jewish community, and bring them all out at once (Ex. 12:41-42).

    • Lord God, have the final say in who will be the new head of the Jewish Agency (Prov. 19:21).

    • May the person be more concerned with the regathering of Your people than with seeing Jewish communities in the exile prosper (Jer. 51:5-10).

    • Give Israelis who are living in the exile dreams and visions about Jerusalem (Psa. 137:4-6).

    • Remove all of the Israeli red tape and bureaucracy that hinders Jews from returning and makes it more complicated than necessary for new immigrants to be settled in the land (Rom. 14:13).

    • Use Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked to remove all personnel who are hindering Your people from returning and help her to replace them with Zionists with a heart for aliyah (Isa. 61:4).

    • Lord, settle permanently all of the new immigrants who have had the courage and perseverance to come home to Israel during this difficult time of dealing with the coronavirus (Amos 9:14-15).

    • Plant their roots deep in Israel – and give them a love for their land (Isa. 27:6; 37:31; 62:4-5).

    • Bring home all the remaining Ethiopian Jews, the Jews from India and from many of the other non-Western nations (Isa. 43:5-7).

  7. Water:

We pray specifically for water because there are many ways in which God can supply the water that Israel needs – besides His usual way of sending the rain from heaven.

    • Bless Israel with light rains at this season and heavier rains at the time of the latter rains (Jam. 5:7).

    • Lord, in Isaiah 41:20 You said You would actually create new water sources and this would lead to Israelis recognizing Your loving care. Please do that at this time.

Finally, please join us in praying about IFI's financial situation. Thank you in advance.
