1. Last weekend, over Rosh Hashanah, Israel was drenched with a wonderful rain. The amount of rain that fell actually broke many records.

    • Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for LORD [YHWH] will do great things...Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in LORD your God: for He has given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain...And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar...My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty, be satisfied, and praise the name of LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you: and My people shall never be ashamed. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am LORD your God, and none else: and My people shall never be ashamed.

      Joel 2:21-27
    • We bless You Lord for the rainstorm that You brought to Israel over Your feast days.

    • God, we also rejoice that You have brought more of Your people home this past year than in the previous number of years.

    • Thank You that You are a God who answers the prayers of Your people.

    • You are the faithful Father and we thank You especially for the salvation that we have through the blood of the Lamb, our High Priest and Lord, Messiah Yeshua.

  2. Yesterday, Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, spoke at the UN General Assembly's annual meeting. His message was very strong and full of truth.

    • Again, we thank You for PM Netanyahu and the way he has conducted himself through all the various demands that the world makes on him and on Israel.

    • Thank You that he openly chastised the UN delegates who stayed and listen to Iran's Holocaust-denying President Ahmadinejad the previous day.

    • Bless You that he exposed the Goldstone report on the Gaza War for what it was - an attack on Israel - and that he challenged nations to stand with Israel as they battle terrorism.

    • Anoint the reading of this speech - especially to those in the Body of Messiah.

    • May this message wake up many in both the Church and society in general to the truth.

    • May this not be true of any in Your Body: ...because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11)

    • You have answered our prayers. Netanyahu used scripture in his speech.

    • Give Bibi favor with the people of Israel so that the nation stands with him as he defends Israel's biblical, historical and legal rights before the rest of the world (Jeremiah 3:15; 23:4).

    • Help intercessors to watch and pray over the UN's activities and decisions in these days.

  3. Earlier this week, US President Obama met with Netanyahu and Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority. Obama was very curt - telling them to start negotiating on a final settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Of course, to Obama and most of the rest of the world this means, "Two states for two peoples" on the land God has promised to Israel more than 200 times in the Bible.

    • We again thank You for giving Netanyahu wisdom, strength and clarity not to submit to ungodly pressure from the American President.

The king's heart is in the hand of LORD, as the rivers of water: He turns it wherever He will.

      Proverbs 21:1
    • We bless You for hardening the hearts of Israel's enemies - Abbas in this situation - so that they did not come out of the meeting agreeing to anything.

    • Hedge in Obama's frustration over his lack of any progress in "his" plans for peace in the Middle East. Do not allow him to turn on Bibi and Israel as the "bad guys" and manipulate us to do his will.

Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

      Numbers 23:23
  4. On October 1st, Iran is supposed to meet with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, to discuss Iran's nuclear program. For that program to be stopped requires all the 5+1 to be serious about severe sanctions [Russian and China are not], and for there to be a specific cut-off date for the talks [so far, there is not].

    • Abba, we appeal to You to arise and deal with Iran, as we would much prefer to see this situation resolved without the need of military action.

    • If there is any chance for "crippling sanctions" to work, let them be tried.

    • We confess to You a complete lack of faith in the moral courage of any of these leaders. Surprise us and push them to make a united stand against Iranian intransigence.

    • Confound Iran and expose all of their plans at this meeting (Psalm 129:5).

    • Continue to shake Iran - politically, spiritually, and if need be, physically.

    • May Israel be ready for whatever these talks result in and have wisdom from on high concerning what she needs to do to stop this Iranian existential threat.

    • Keep not silence, O God. Hold not Your peace. Be not still, O God. For, behold, Your enemies make a loud noise: they that hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people...They have said, Come, let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against You:...So persecute them with Your tempest, make them afraid with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Your name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled forever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish: that men may know that You, whose name alone is YHWH, are the most high over all the earth.

      Psalms 83:1-5, 15-18
  5. We prayed into the Moslem 50,000 man prayer meeting that is being held today in Washington D.C. The intention of some of the leaders is to see the White House come under the Spirit of Islam and, in fact, to see the US become an Islamic nation in the near future.

    • God, wake up Your Church in America to see the need for strategic intercession.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

      Ezekiel 22:30
    • Lord, may US spiritual watchmen be alert and quicken to what the enemy has planned.

    • Nullify the plans of the evil one for this rally/prayer meeting.

    • Use this rally to wake up multitudes in America to face the very real and present danger she is in.

  6. With Yom Kippur and Succot occurring next week, as well as the Iranian situation, we next prayed for Israel's security and her security forces.

    • Lord, guard over our borders.

Hear the word of LORD, you gentiles, declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep/guard him, as a shepherd does his flock.

      Jeremiah 31:10
    • God of Israel, may Your fear fall on all the surrounding nations.

And [Rahab] said unto the [Israeli spies], I know that LORD has given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

      Joshua 2:9
    • Although You are the One who ultimately defends this nation - often You do that through Israel's army. Therefore anoint them for the job (Isaiah 41:10-16; Micah 4:11-13).

    • We bless You for Israel's Defense Forces and all of the young men and women serving their nation in it at this time.

    • Shield our soldiers against any successful kidnapping attempts.

    • Keep Israel's security forces - alert and watching over this feast season.

    • Expose all the plans of Israel's enemies.

    • If Israel needs to attack Iran, help her to do the job with the most amount of damage and the least amount of lose of life possible - but help her to finish the job.

  7. This Sunday evening through Monday evening is the holiest day of the year on God's calendar - the feast of Yom Kippur. During this time, many Jewish people fast [a majority here in Israel] and many will also pray - asking for God to forgive them of their sins.

What a perfect day for the Church to fast and pray - agreeing with Israel - for God to forgive Israel of her sins, through the revelation of her Messiah, Yeshua.

    • May all the house of Israel who are really seeking You this year - find You.

Then shall you call upon Me, and...pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart.

      Jeremiah 29:12-13
    • Lord, watch over this verse for multitudes of Israelis: And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zechariah 12:10)

    • From prophetic readings of that day: Who is a God like unto You, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retains not His anger for ever, because He delights in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and You wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. You will perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn unto our fathers from the days of old. (Micah 7:18-20) Amen!

    • We specifically prayed for the following groups in Israel. Of course, please pray for the Jewish people whom the Lord lays on your hearts - whether here in Israel or in your nation: School children; Holocaust survivors; government officials; IDF soldiers who are on patrol that day; hippies and folks into the new age.

    • Abba, remove the veil and show Your face to many of Your people.

    • Pour out Your Spirit on the traditional Yom Kippur prayers.

    • O LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel.

      Jeremiah 31:7b

Every Yom Kippur service ends with this declaration, "Next year in Jerusalem," so we ended by praying for aliyah, the immigration of the Jews in exile back to the land of Israel.

May God the Father and our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, bless you and direct you in deep prayers - especially over the next number of days.

Shabbat shalom
The IFI Team

Also on the 10th day of this 7th month there shall be a day of atonement:
it shall be an holy convocation unto you.
You shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto LORD.
And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement,
to make an atonement for you before LORD your God.

Leviticus 23:27-28
