Shalom prayer partners, We are sorry that this week's Friday Prayer Alert is getting to you late. The server we use to distribute these points was having problems. Thanks for your faithfulness to lift up Israel before His throne. The IFI team

  1. We entered His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

    • I will extol You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.

      Psa. 145:1-3
    • We thank You for being so consistent.

    • We are so grateful for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 5-6).

    • You are good and Your mercy endures forever(Psa. 136).

  2. In line with Paul's exhortation in 1 Timothy. 2:1-3, we started by interceding for Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin 'Bibi' Netanyahu.

    • Abba, we thank You for giving this nation a leader like Netanyahu.

    • …He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

      Dan. 2:21
    • Pour out Your wisdom upon him to know how to lead Israel today (Prov. 21:1).

    • Surround Bibi with wise counsel (Prov. 15:22).

    • Protect and defend Netanyahu, his wife Sarah, and their sons, Yair and Avner.

    • Turn him and His family to Your Son and their Messiah, Yeshua (Psa. 80:3,7,19).

    • Keep Bibi healthy and encouraged.

    • Protect him from any discouragement that is trying to attack him.

    • Speak to Netanyahu through Your Word. Give him ears to hear what You are saying.

    • Strengthen and protect him against all manipulation from the international community and from the media (Num. 23:23).

  3. Iran is still in the headlines and still a major threat to Israel and the rest of the civilized world. There was a string of attacks against Israeli interests outside of Israel this past week (India, Georgia, Thailand, and Singapore) that were traced back to Iran. Thank God, no one was killed, although an Israeli woman was hospitalized and bystanders were hurt in some of the attacks. Iran is continuing to move forward in their nuclear weapons developments. As we prayed in the recent Prayer Conference, we again asked God to lead Iran's leaders into making major mistakes.

    • We see the lack of success in these recent attacks as a partial answer to this and thank You for them.

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Your name, O LORD.

      Psa. 83:16
    • Let the world really wake up to the wickedness of Iran's current leadership.

    • Permeate the Iranian leadership with a spirit of panic!

    • If it be Your will, push Iran's leaders into closing the Straits of Hormuz.

    • Allow there to be major mistakes made in all of Iran's nuclear facilities which make them useless or even dangerous to work in.

    • Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

      Psa. 129:5; cp. 55:9
  4. Syria is imploding. There is much confusion, danger and a real lack of response from the world. There is also a real threat that as Syrian President Assad draws closer to his demise, he might attack Israel to divert attention from himself. The added danger is that Syria has one of the largest stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons in the world.

    • Lord, have mercy on all of the innocent Syrians.

    • May multitudes of Syrians flee from Allah to the open arms of Yeshua (Isa. 40:11)!

    • Lord, protect and use all of our Syrian brothers and sisters in Messiah Yeshua.

    • Abba, protect and save the Syrian Kurds and Druze.

    • You who raise up and cast down leaders (Dan. 2:20), bring Assad down quickly.

    • Cause all of the internal hatreds in that nation to keep them away from attacking Israel.

    • Arise O God, and resolve the Syrian situation in a way that brings You the most glory.

  5. We then prayed about Israel's preparation and response to the Syrian situation.

    • Lord, raise up an 'Elisha' intelligence section in Israel's army - one that knows exactly what the Syrians are planning (2 Kin. 6:8-12).

    • Give to the Mossad and the IDF's military intelligence valid, up-to-date information.

    • Enable Israel's leaders to know what to do with this intelligence (1 Chr. 12:32).

    • If Israel needs to pre-empt, give them the courage to do it!

    • Lead the Syrian leadership into making major mistakes and also cause them to panic.

    • May any of their weapons aimed at Israel malfunction (Isa. 54:17).

    • Lord of heaven's hosts, protect this nation - for Your holy name's sake (Psa. 115:1-3).

    • When the servant of the man of God [Elisha] was up early, and gone forth, behold, [a Syrian] host surrounded the city both with horses and chariots. The servant said… Alas, my master! What shall we do? [Elisha] answered, Fear not: for they that are with us are more than they that are with them. Elisha prayed… [LORD] open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

      2 Kin. 6:15-17
  6. We then prayed for the IDF in the face of the current Middle East cauldron. Israel is being surrounded by vicious enemies who want to destroy her.

    • Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, Let her be defiled, let our eye look upon Zion. But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, neither do they understand His counsel, for He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze, and you shall beat in pieces many people, and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

      Mic. 4:11-13
    • Abba, as You said in these verses - as well as in other places in Your Word - use the IDF for Your glory (Jer. 51:20-24).

    • Give Israel's military - the army, navy and air force - a supernatural alertness.

    • Keep up the soldiers' morale, and raise up mighty warriors as in biblical times.

    • Use the Messianic believers in the IDF. Allow the gifts of the Holy Spirit to flow through them at all times - especially in times of crisis (1 Cor. 12:7).

    • Lord, bring the leaders of the government and the military into one accord as to how to defend this nation in 2012.

    • Reveal the real flashpoints - like Gaza - and the strategies on how to deal with them.

    • Remove from Israel's leaders all 'politically correct' considerations that interfere with the protection of this nation and her civilians.

    • Ultimately, we trust in You to defend this nation.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD. Let the king hear us when we call.

      Psa. 20:7-9
  7. We have had some periods of very wet weather this winter. The Sea of Galilee is now several centimeters above the red-line. We are in better shape than in many years - but still in need of much more water. The Sea of Galilee is still around four meters below full! This weekend is forecast to be wet and cold - so cold that there is a chance of snow in Jerusalem!

    • Abba, thank You for the water You have so graciously poured out on this land recently.

    • You, O God, sent plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, when it was weary.

      Psalms 68:9
    • You know we need more. So we are asking and seeking and knocking for that need.

    • Bring the snow on the land this weekend - both up north and on the central hills.

    • We bless You for the most advanced desalinization plants in the world.

    • We confess that it is You who gives this nation the wisdom to do this.

But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, so that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto your fathers…

      Deut. 8:18

We finished our time together praying for an increase in aliyah - the immigration of Jews from exile back to Israel, as well as for a special Intercessors For Israel prayer meeting in the north of Israel - in Karmiel - next Thursday evening. Thank you for covering these items in your prayers.

Much blessings and thanks for all of your prayers and support for this nation and this ministry.

Remember that God delights in your prayers - especially those that are in line with His will/His Word (Prov. 15:8b, 29b; 1 John 5:14-15 ).

Shabbat shalom
