1. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

    Psalm 46:1-7
    • Thank You God that You never change. You are the rock on which we stand. Nothing takes You by surprise. You are the Lord of hosts. Your mercies are new every morning. Thank You that You have the victory. You are on the throne. In You we live and move and have our being.

    • Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.

      Deuteronomy 32:3-4
    • Hodu L'Adonai ki tov, ki leolam chasdo. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His mercy endures forever.

  2. Thank you for your prayers for the recent IFI prayer conference in Scotland. This was the 9th year this conference has taken place and, according to some of the participants, the best yet. Thanks to you who have prayed for your support and glory to the Lord!

  3. Syria

God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.

    Psalm 47:8-9
    • Lord, protect our border with Syria. Put up a shield on the Syrian border.

    • Keep confusing our enemies in Syria and causing them to fight against one another. May there be no confusion in our own ranks.

    • Help us to distinguish between genuine refugees who may need to be allowed to take refuge in Israel, and terrorists who need to be kept out.

    • Reveal to the IDF leadership if there are any holes in our defenses. Give discernment over where we need to place our forces.

    • The current situation in Syria really is not simple. The Syrian Free Army is being backed by the Moslem Brotherhood and Al Qaeda, while Syrian Christians tend to back Assad and the current regime. We don't know what to pray for except "Your will be done, Lord!"

    • In that day a man will look to his Maker, and his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

      Isaiah 17:7

May many Moslems come to the Lord rather than killing each other!

    • Protect the innocents, Lord!

    • Give wisdom to our brothers and sisters in the Lord! Let them know when to hide, when to stay, when to flee. Give them boldness to share and be a light in the darkness.

  4. Israel in the midst of the balagan (turmoil) of the Middle East

With turmoil all around us, Israel seems the only point of stability in the region. Syria is in civil war. Lebanon has its forces ranged against us. The Moslem Brotherhood is taking control of Egypt and stirring in Jordan. Turkey which was formerly a friend is now our sworn enemy. Iraq is in the grip of Shiite Islam while Iran is building a nuclear weapon.

The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me: He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

    2 Samuel 23:2-3
    • May Israel stand firm on the Rock of Israel! Increase our stability and our unity in the midst of the chaos and the danger!

    • Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, and His strength is in the clouds. O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!

      Psalm 68:34-5
    • Thank You, Lord for the relative political stability of having a large governmental coalition.

    • Give us unity in our identity as Your people. May our unity be found and established in the truth of Your word.

    • Make the Body of Messiah part of the solution in Israel. Give us grace to speak Your wisdom into the situation of our nation and the nations round about. Remove the veil which prevents Your people from recognizing their Messiah. Open the hearts of the Jews to mourn as for an only son and to see You for who You are. Use the pressures to cause Israelis to turn to You.

    • The Islamic spirit only respects strength. So, when our innocent people are attacked, eg with rockets from Gaza, it is the duty of our government to strike back hard.

    • For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

      Romans 13:3-4
    • Good government is a terror to the wicked. Please, forgive us where our responses in the past have been too weak. Give our leaders wisdom to respond to attacks in the way You desire - a response which will stop the wicked attacks of our enemies. Prepare our government and our military leaders to respond in the way You lead us.

    • In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left.

      Zechariah 12:6
  5. Lebanon

    • Protect our border. Raise up and strengthen the young men and women who are standing watch over our border with Lebanon! Keep them awake and alert. Build our shield.

    • Give our leadership accurate information on where Hezbollah have stored all their rockets which are intended for use against Israel and give the readiness to destroy them wherever they are located. Let no movements of arms or personnel be hidden from us.

    • When Ehud Barak pulled Israel out of South Lebanon in 2000 it amounted to abandoning a part of the biblical Promised Land. Israel has already paid dearly for this sin. Give us the readiness to deal with Hezbollah!

    • Lord, prevent any more soldiers or civilians being kidnapped on this and on every other border!

  6. Egypt

For our shield belongs to the Lord, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.

    Psalm 89:18

Much of Isaiah chapter 19 describes Egypt in turmoil and we are seeing some of these words fulfilled before our eyes. Egypt has just elected a Moslem Brotherhood president and we give thanks that for now the military has retained some of the control rather than surrender all authority to the presidency.

    • Lord, wake up those in the West who worship democracy rather than observing reality! Especially cause believers to wake up to the threat to Israel and to the world from empowering radical Islam in Egypt and elsewhere.

    • May the land of Judah be a terror in the hearts of Egyptians so that they will think twice before coming out as our enemy.

    • Set Egyptians against Egyptians (Isaiah 19:2) so that the threat against Israel would be diminished for this time!

    • Protect our border. Enable Israel to complete the fence being constructed along our border with the Sinai. Allow Egypt's military to take control of the Sinai region which is currently in a state of anarchy - in the hands of those wanting to take control, local Bedouin, al-Qaeda, etc.

    • Thank you, Lord for those who are coming to know You in Egypt. Bring down the idols of the Egyptians!

    • In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. Then the Lord will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the Lord and perform it.

      Isaiah 19:19-21

      Amen, Lord!

  7. Iran

Each day Iran moves closer to acquiring a nuclear weapon. Those in the nations who want to talk are just facilitating Iran's move towards this bomb.

    • May the world leaders understand the consequences of a nuclear Iran. And give Israel's leaders wisdom and the readiness to do whatever is needed and the right time to do it.

    • Cause the Iranian leadership to make mistakes so the world would see what they are truly doing.

    • Empower those who are gathering intelligence regarding Iran and the ability to communicate the truth to Israel's leaders.

    • Give Israel the weapons to amaze and terrify our enemies. Use little Israel as an instrument in Your hand.

  8. US Elections

    • Lord, raise up the leader in the US who will cause the Jews in America to feel so uncomfortable that they will make aliyah. This will be mercy for the Jews and mercy for America.

    • Wake up the believers in the US to the fact that this is not just another election, but deeply significant for the future of their nation.

    • What do the terrible fires around Colorado Springs signify? Could they be a warning of even more severe things to come? Lord, have mercy!

  9. Aliyah

Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it, says the Lord.

    Ezekiel 37:12-14
    • Cause the Jews to come home and to know You! May they be planted in their land to stay and not to leave after a few years. Give the ability to make a living and to be established. Bring whole families and reunify families here in Israel. Marry Your people to Your land.

    • Restore the yordim (Israelis living abroad). Make them homesick and desiring to come home.

    • Cause Christians who love the land to provoke the Jews to jealousy.

    • Remove Interior Minister Eli Yishai and replace him with someone better who will desire and promote the aliyah of all Jewish people.

    • Cause Messianic Jews to want to make aliyah. Let them listen to You and not to all the voices which tell them they can't do it. Let those who don't even have passports get passports!

    • And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isaiah 35:10, 51:11)
