1. The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters. Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah

    Psalm 24: 1-2, 7-10
    • Praise You for You are the King of Glory!

    • Thank You for being a King who takes notice of us!

    • You are the same yesterday, today and forever!

    • Thank You that You are a miracle-working God!

    • Thank You for calling us to be alive for such a time as this (Esther 4:14) and making us part of Your master plan!

    • Thank You for every good thing which comes from You, for all the beauties of heaven on the earth from the majesties to the gorgeous beauty of each tiny flower!

    • Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised…

      Psalm 48:1-2
  2. Eid al-Adha:

Marking the end of the hajj to Mecca, the Moslem world has been celebrating Eid al-Adha this week where they celebrate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Ishmael. This is a distortion of scripture and of history - a denial of the truth of God's word. Typically in this season Moslems become full of themselves. There was a terror incident just last night at an army base on the outskirts of Jerusalem in which only the terrorist was killed. Pray:

    • For Israel's security services to be on the alert in these days.

    • For the leaders of the security services to have wisdom and discernment to know when to act and when not to act.

    • Keep security at the Western Wall today and stop those who want to throw rocks.

    • Keep the soldiers safe at the checkpoints around the city that they would not be caught by any surprises.

    • Give the police an attitude of zero-tolerance of Islamic rebellion.

    • As tunnels out of Gaza have recently been uncovered, let all breaches in Israel's security be found and repaired.

    • For peace upon Israel (Psalm 125:5) and especially upon Jerusalem.

  3. Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu:

the New York Times has recently been describing Netanyahu as isolated on account of his stand against the "charm offensive" of Iran's President Rouhani. Being isolated doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong for refusing to let go regarding Iran. Pray:

    • Thank God that Netanyahu is continuing to regularly study the scriptures. May he hear from God and see the world clearly according to God's perspective.

    • Keep him strong in doing what God calls him to do. Thank You Lord, for calling him for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)

    • May Netanyahu not be turned aside from the path You have called him to walk as leader of Israel. Give him the ability and boldness to make hard decisions.

    • May he lead Israel in the way of righteousness and truth. Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34)

    • Keep in good health and surround him with good advisors so that he would not feel alone.

  4. Iran:

President Rouhani wants to persuade the West to lift the sanctions which have crippled the Iranian economy, but Iran's leaders have not been compromising on pushing forward their nuclear weapons program. Rouhani even boasted during his election campaign how as Iran's chief nuclear negotiator he bought time for the program by deceiving the world with his negotiations. Pray:

    • That at least some in the world would see the truth and not be taken in by Iran's deception.

    • That Iran would make mistakes and the truth would be exposed.

    • That the nations would have their eyes opened rather than being blinded by the false hope of "peace in our time".

    • May Netanyahu's warnings bring light and may Rouhani's words have no effect.

  5. Other alliances:

There have been many rumors recently of secret negotiations taking place between Israel and various Arab nations. Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states are just as fearful of a nuclear Iran as Israel is. This is the fear which Sunni Moslems have of dominance by Shia Islam. The rumors relate to possible agreements to support or allow Israel to attack Iran. Pray:

    • That God would bring something out of these negotiations if they are true. If it's Your will, o Lord, let it happen!

    • Thank You, Lord that those who bless Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:3). If You want to bless these nations as they bless Your people, let them know why they are being blessed!

    • Thank You, that You did not bring Israel back to our land to destroy us but to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Please intervene in Iran's evil plans. Shake the earth! Show Your power! Destroy this destroyer!

  6. Municipal Elections:

22nd October is the date for these elections throughout Israel. We focused particularly on the elections of mayors in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv. Nir Barkat has been mayor in Jerusalem for the past 5 years. As a multi-millionaire he is not vulnerable to bribery and takes a salary of 1 shekel per year. His opponent is not from Jerusalem and his candidature is based on an unholy alliance between the ultra-orthodox Shas and Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beiteinu party. In Tel-Aviv standing mayor Ron Huldai is opposed by a candidate who is openly homosexual serving that community's public agenda for making Israel's second city a world gay capital. Pray:

    • For Nir Barkat to be re-elected in Jerusalem.

    • Break the control of the ultra-orthodox. Create a division in that community which seeks to gain control over Jerusalem.

    • Bring out the voters.

    • For Ron Huldai to be re-elected in Tel-Aviv.

    • Hold back the homosexual spirit which would seek to profane God's name among the nations by having a homosexual mayor ruling Tel-Aviv. (n.b. Ezekiel 20:39)

    • Do not allow this visible sin to be given place in any city of Israel.

    • Bring righteous leadership to all the cities of Israel. (Proverbs 14:34)

  7. Bank of Israel Governor:

    Pray:

    • That Benyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister, Yair Lapid would quickly be able to agree over the new person to appoint to this key role to safeguard Israel's economic strength.

  8. Pro-Life:

Israel's pro-life movement is meeting today to pray. We prayed in unity with them and for God's anointing upon them and their time of prayer today:

    • Put Your covering over the believers meeting today, for travelling mercies, for wisdom and revelation and guidance in their prayers.

    • Bring changes in Israel's laws to tighten up controls on abortion.

    • Give a breakthrough in Israel's leaders and people to see what we are doing in murdering our unborn babies. You called us to settle the land and we are killing our own children!

    • Turn the hearts of the fathers to their children! (Malachi 4:6)

    • Cause abortion to be taken off the books in Israel.

    • Let medical workers see what horrors they have been involved in and be willing to confess their sin.

    • Bring Your unity among the different pro-life groups in Israel.

    • Bring the healing of Yeshua to women deeply wounded through having abortions.

  9. Rain:

    • Let the reservoirs and aquifers be filled throughout Israel this winter.

    • Send an abundance of rain and snow. Open Your heavens in the right places and in the right ways so that the water would be soaked in and not cause flooding and damage.

    • Glorify Yourself in Your land by making it all You said You would make it. (Ezekiel 36:35)

Shabbat Shalom!
