1. Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness….You who fear him, trust in the Lord—he is their help and shield….it is we who extol the Lord, both now and forevermore. Praise the Lord.

    Psalm 115:1,11,18
    • Thank You for Your power to change things. Your power is real unlike the presumed power of every idol (Psalm 115:4-8)

    • Thank You for the power in our prayers – this amazing authority You place upon us. Lead us to pray what is on Your heart!

    • Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

      Psalm 63:3-4
    • We praise and thank You that You are refreshing Your land and Your people both physically and spiritually. The physical rain is causing the land to bloom and bear fruit, while the spiritual rains are bringing Your people into relationship with their God.

  2. Israeli – US relations

President Trump’s special representative, Jason Greenblatt (an American Jew) has been visiting Israel this week. Also this week the Knesset has been considering the possibility of annexing one of the largest Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, Ma’ale Adumim (population approx 40,000). The new American President has requested that Israel not make any sudden major moves, while himself appearing to back-track on his pledge to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

    • We pray for Your timing for the annexation of this important city which is so close to Jerusalem.

    • Also let the US Embassy be moved to Jerusalem in Your perfect time.

    • May Israel’s leadership be led by You and not by any desire to appease the Trump administration.

    • Give Jason Greenblatt wisdom and discernment. May he speak out in public only those words You want him to speak. May he know when to remain silent. As a Jew give him a heart for this land. Reveal the truth to him about Mahmoud Abbas.

    • The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. (Proverbs 21:1) Please turn the heart of Donald Trump wherever You want it!

    • Use our brother in the Lord, Vice-President Pence to bring an understanding of Your word to President Trump regarding Israel.

    • Give grace to the American Church to pray fervently regarding the Administration’s policies towards Israel and our neighbors.

  3. Jordan

In March 1997 seven Israeli schoolgirls were murdered close to the Jordan border by Ahmed Daqamseh, a Jordanian soldier on duty nearby. Daqamseh was convicted and has served a 20-year jail sentence, remaining unrepentant for his actions. This week he was released to a hero’s welcome. Jordan’s King Abdullah seeks a good relationship with Israel but is constrained by public opinion in his nation in which a majority of the population is Palestinian. King Hussein, Abdullah’s father, acted nobly and righteously in 1997, personally visiting the bereaved families and making a public apology.

    • Hold back any fresh wave of terrorism as a response to Daqamseh’s release.

    • Give alertness and wisdom to Israel’s security services at this time.

    • Protect King Abdullah and give him great wisdom and courage to stand for truth. Reveal Yourself to the king.

    • Comfort the families of the murdered girls whose loss will be stirred up by the release of the murderer. Release them from bitterness. Give them the grace to leave all vengeance to You.

    • Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

      Romans 12:19
  4. Bibi Netanyahu

the Prime Minister and Sara, his wife continue to be subject to relentless pressure from the media and the legal system determined to investigate every possible abuse of their public position.

    • I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.

      Psalm 119:7
    • Let the truth be revealed – expose any corruption in these cases, Lord!

    • Give wisdom and balanced judgment to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

    • May Bibi and Sara have deep respect for the law and for truth. Also protect them from all lies and slander.

    • Protect their family life during these times. Draw them closer to each other and to You, their God.

    • Continue to use Bibi as Your instrument in leading Israel for just as long as You purpose.

    • Surround him with good advisors and prepare the individual or individuals who You have appointed to take over from Bibi when his time is up.

    • Guard him against seeking his own glory and honor. May he seek to serve You and Your people

  5. Russia

Russian influence continues to expand into more arenas which have a potential impact on Israel. We hear now of a Russian involvement in Western Egypt. This is alongside their role in Syria and in Iran. While Bibi appears to have a good relationship with Vladimir Putin, huge wisdom is needed regarding the growing stature of the ‘Russian bear’.

    • Lord, guide us to pray according to Your will in response to growing Russian influence.

    • Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

      Luke 11:2
    • Give Israel’s leaders discernment regarding who our enemies are and where the true threats lie.

    • Use the experience of Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman who grew up in the Soviet Union. Use his insight into the Russian mentality. Give him wisdom.

    • Protect Israel’s spies in the nations round about and help them to communicate all the important information of what our enemies are doing and planning to do.

    • Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?” And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.

      2 Kings 6:11-12
    • Whether You choose to use spies or prophetic words, let there be no secrets which Israel does not hear regarding her enemies.

  6. Aliyah

Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

    Jeremiah 16:16
    • Lord, please use the growing Anti-Semitism in the world to prompt more and more of Your people to return home to Israel where they belong.

    • Let the Jewish people read the writing on the wall and recognize that they need to come home, rather than believing that this will pass and everything will be ok again in the nations.

    • May the Jews never be ashamed of their identity as Jews.

    • Let Jewish mothers recognize that the only secure future for their children lies in the Land of Israel.

    • Let the Messianic Jews come and not fear the rejection which has kept most of them away. Take away the fear of being open about Yeshua.

    • You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak.

      Matthew 10:18-19
    • Let the poor come as well as the rich because this land is for them also. Both low and high, rich and poor together. (Psalm 49:2)

    • Provide the financial resources needed for bringing the Jews home. Particularly do this through Christians, through the Church. Strengthen those working for aliyah.

    • Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the peoples; they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

      Isaiah 49:22
    • Remove the obstacles to aliyah at Israel’s end. Change the attitudes and priorities so that the new immigrants will be welcomed in.

    • Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. (Isaiah 26:2) We know Israel is not yet a righteous nation, but we do ask that she may enter into her own land so that there the Lord may make her a righteous nation.

  7. Germany

Chuck continues his travels with Heinz-Jurgen of IFI-Deutschland in Germany. (To listen to some of the messages click here. You can stream the messages online or click the green down-arrow to download them)

    • Bless all the ministry opportunities, grant travelling mercies, refresh and renew Chuck through all the places he will be staying. Surprise them with unexpected and unplanned opportunities.

    • I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

      Psalm 121:1-4

Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem!
